I waited in the drive through without ordering, because the microphone was broke, there was a vehicle ahead of me. Instead of ordering and getting them to pull up they sat at the window waiting for their order. Eventually I parked and walk inside. Where I stood at the counter. There were two young white boys that never looked at me. Another person dressed differently never looked up and went quickly out the door. Teach your employees to say "sir I will be right with you." While all of this aggravated me it didn't make me mad. I eventually get tired of standing there and went to leave. When a black lady that was older came up to the counter. I then turned and said in a nice way "are you opened" because I walked into a burger King one time that was closed but they forgot to lock the door. She turned and said to me in a sarcastic tone "you walked in here didn't you?" "Then we are open then." I was speechless. "I said no I don't" to which she replied "well alright then." I don't know if you guys have to earn people's loyalty but in most businesses you do. And for that lady to run off one of your best customers that lives less than a mile from your store. That's just plain stupid. I retired after 33 years in business and sure wished that people would have told me about a person giving us a bad name. Read moreI was taken aback about the service at Millbrook, Alabama Popeye's. I only ordered a classic chicken sandwich!🥪 I paid, for it, and the drive Thursday window closed, with no other cars in line behind me, I preceeded to wait 5 minutes later which was find atleast it would be fresh and cooked! Then this older gruff employee open the window and asked have you paid it startled me, I said yes I paid already then he slammed the drive thru window, 5 minutes or 10 minutes later the 3rd drive thru employee came to the window again asked me what did I 🤔 order. Now the waiting would have been ok, 👍 but what was not ok, I seen this next employee bag my food with no gloves on and I said you put my food in this bag with no gloves on, of course she lied, when I got home I recorded my chicken threw the bread away and prayed hard over my chicken sandwich this is the worst experience besides Popeye's menu is extremely high! Jack's seems to have the ability and know how-to hire enough staff to man their lobby. And yes, while I enjoyed their awesome sit-down experience, an employee was going around cleaning tables. So it is not a matter of Jack's not following the COVID protocols, it is simply that Jack's corporate leadership cares more about their customers than Popeye's does. Jack's cares more about giving customers that sit-down experience. Popeye's can't figure out how to hire enough people when Jack's can and that is unacceptable. It is that simple. I will lean to Jack's from now on as my preferred restaurant because of the extra care they give concerning public relations.
