My husband and I travel a few times a year and every time we enjoy going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. However the last couple of times we have been in a Cracker Barrel it has not been good. The last visit was this past weekend I was traveling with my grandson and we stopped at the Prattville Alabama Cracker Barrel and I must say it was absolutely awful. The blueberry pancakes were still raw in the middle , The eggs I ordered over medium hard by the time they finally brought our order out to us they were already turning green around the edges and the grits were like a watery soup, this is not a joke I am very serious about what I am saying. When the food came to the table which took quite a while, We were informed that the biscuits were going to be Four more minutes. I didn't mind four more minutes. However, not only were other customers getting their biscuits around us but our server didn't bring our biscuits until 12 minutes later. The watery grits, I asked the server was that the best that they had and showed him how soupy they were he took them back to the kitchen and came back and said that was the best they had. I have a video of the grits. I didn't even bother sending the pancakes back it wasn't worth my time waiting. I had already waited quite a while for the food and quite a while for the biscuits . When I sent the grits back to the kitchen to see if they had something better the manager didn't even come over to the table to see what the problem was. I felt the manager should have come over to the table . Then I would have told her about the other food and showed her that the pancakes were also raw and how awful the eggs looked. Needless to say I will never stop at the Prattville Alabama, Cracker Barrel again. For years we have enjoyed going to Cracker Barrel. But the last two years that we have traveled the service and the food have not been worth the money that we pay. We Will not be visiting a Cracker Barrel again. I tried to upload the video of the grits but it will only let me post a picture. I can email the video to Cracker Barrel if they would like to see.

Absolutely got the worse waitress ever! We waited about 20minutes to get a table, normal Cracker Barrel. But at the table we waited for our waitress to acknowledge us. She was so slow. My husband chose hamburger steak(medium well), fries and okra. I ordered the fried fish plate with mac & cheese and dumplings. We both chose sweet tea and biscuits. The tea tasted sour to me, so i traded for soda. It took along time, she brought it to me and told me they had to wash a glass. ONE HOUR before our food came. My husband got his... the hamburger steak was "crispy", and dry.. he only got his okra, had to ask for his fries. So all my food came out... my " fish" was so over cooked (see pictures) that there was NO fish. Waitress laughed about it and said she would get me some more. She tried to take the bad fish and i said i want to see the manager. She even told the lady at the next table that the cook was trying to send out more bad fish. It was funny to her. Manager took my food off of the bill. I think it all should have all been comped. Manager was very understanding. I hate it but i do good reviews and bad reviews because people should know. We did give a tip, didn't feel right not to. Oh yeah the biscuits were good.

This is the Prattville, Alabama store. I will start off saying, when I’m on business trips or traveling with our family we always hit Cracker Barrel stores as they’ve always been a crowd pleaser for the whole family. The good-Our waitress Kaitlyn was super nice and super attentive. Now the bad, in the first photo you’ll see the used butter container left at our table, it was handy so we could contain the bug crawling across the table. If you want to use the restroom, keep going - theirs is filthy. Everything common to touch was dirty, the door windows didn’t look to have been cleaned in several days. When we put our name in the first girl (she was Caucasian) told me 30 minutes and was moved to the side and the African American with the straight hair wig said,”nope…” and selected 45 minutes. And folks who weren’t Caucasian that came in after us were seated first. When you’re ask if you want chicken sausage…don’t - just don’t. I did contact the Cracker Barrel corporate line to tell them about this store-the first time I’ve ever called a number like that, it just seemed to be necessary in the case because this store makes them look really bad.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Let me start off by saying that the waitress I had was EXTREMELY rude. Why? Well because the food was absolutely trash. I was by myself with my 2 children because my fiance was at work, and the waitress instantly looked down on me, like she knew I was going to cause a problem. Well, I wouldn't have if the food wasn't terrible. My daughter (she's 10 & extremely respectful), she got the grilled chicken off of the kids menu, and when she got it the chicken was inedible. It was full of chewy bits, she was 2 bites in & couldn't even chew the chicken. When I addressed it with the server & told her that the chicken was chewy she got mad & told me she didnt understand what I meant & got pissy. I just asked if she could just exchange it for the fruity pebble pancakes & bacon, to which she did. But was rude about it. The pancakes came out & they were blueberry pancakes, not what we ordered, & my daughter won't eat blueberry so at this point it's just whatever. I knew it wasn't going to be fixed. So I just gave her my hash brown casserole. At this point I noticed my 7 year old autistic son wasn't eating his burgers, & I asked why & he said there was chewy bits in it. So I ripped the burger in half to see what was going on to which I seen that the burger was undercooked & full of chewy bits that you could see physically. Completely inedible. I wasn't going to complain anymore, so I just gave my son my chicken & dumplings & I didnt eat. I put his food on the table & when the waitress seen she very rudely told me she seen it & I just told her it was undercooked & chewy & she said "you keep saying this word chewy & I don't know what you mean so I'm just going to get my manager" at this point I just wanted to pay & leave. I didnt even care to speak to the manager, but the waitress wouldn't speak to me anymore & I couldn't get my check. So I sat there for 10 mins until the manager came out, & the only thing I told her was that the burgers were inedible & I just gave him my food. She took the one kids meal off my check & I informed her of how rude the waitress was & she said "I don't doubt it " & walked off. So at this point the waitress is helping everyone around me (& they were not busy at all) but she will not acknowledge me, except for to look me up & down & cast judgement on me. Which is weird because I was never rude to her. I was just addressing the food issue. She finally brings me my check & just throws it down on the table & I was going to order a peach cobbler then this happened so before I looked at the receipt I wanted to make sure she didnt charge me & I told her I no longer wanted it, & she very rudely told me she didnt put it on there. Fine whatever, I scan my receipt & pay. The $1.73 tip she got was way more than she deserved... I have never in my life felt so looked down on & judged by anyone like the way the waitress did to me today. & the worst part is she did it in front of my children. I will NEVER go back to ANY Cracker Barrel ever again. This experience completely ruined it for me, if they cannot screen their servers to make sure they're decent humans, then I just will never be a customer again. & if you're not a friendly person you shouldn't work in the service industry. Just doesn't make sense to me. Find another job because clearly waiting tables is not for you. I kept my mouth shut while I was in the restaurant because if I would have opened my mouth it would've gotten real disrespectful, & im not putting my children in that situation. I will show them the right way to handle things. But my google review can tell her everything that I wanted to say to her. I am beyond pissed at the way you treated me in front of my children. 0/10 reccomend this Cracker Barrel, run far away & never...

Started out not bad, but soon progressed to terrible. Would first like to say I placed a to-go order when we placed our meal order. While waiting for our order a decently long time, we were offered biscuits that never came. Never refilled our drinks. After our meal finally came, it was wrong. Another waiter corrected. Never saw our original waiter again. Like at all. Not around the room, sulking outside the kitchen, throwing up in the bathroom—nothing. Other tables around us were also not serviced, the one beside us had the same waiter. Drinks empty, no orders taken, orders wrong, waiters/waitresses MIA. Different person came to bring us our check and asked if we needed anything else. I told her my to-go order. She looked at me funny and then realized the waiter had forgotten to put it in. She said she would “rush order it”. 25 minutes later (fried chicken tenders, green beans, hassbrown casserole and dumplings—all of which would not take that long) the “rush” order came out. She cheerfully told me she included some Coca Cola cake and ice cream. None of which we eat. Not to mention the ice cream would’ve melted before I got out of the parking lot. The only pleasant experience was the hostess and gift shop/check out person. Cracker Barrel I was not expecting you to comp the entire meal but you should’ve comped the to-go order. Only time we ever get better than average service is on the weekends for the travelers. During the week is terrible. Management, you need to do better on rounding and making sure employees are attentive and customers are happy. YOU should’ve come out and made it right, not...
