My name is Angela Whitmore, and I’m a proud member of the Prattville community. I’ve brought my children to Launch Trampoline Park several times over the past year. While the kids always have a good time, I can’t ignore the treatment of the young employees that I’ve consistently witnessed. As a mother and someone who cares deeply about how our youth are treated, I feel obligated to speak up.
I know a lot of parents come here, drop their kids off, or sit back while their children play—just looking for a little fun and distraction. But I tend to pay attention to the deeper details. I notice the workers. I notice how they’re spoken to. I notice how exhausted they look. And what I’ve been seeing over and over again is not okay.
These employees—most of them teenagers—are clearly overworked and underappreciated. Every time I visit, they’re running around nonstop, doing everything from cleaning to monitoring the kids, without ever seeming to get a moment of rest or recognition. Despite working in such a high-energy environment, they get no visible support from management.
What really stood out to me is that I never see them talking to one another, unless it’s through a walkie-talkie. It’s strange and unsettling, as if they’re not even allowed to communicate casually. That kind of work environment feels isolating and overly strict, especially for such young staff members who are just trying to do their job.
On top of that, they have to stand for hours at a time—no sitting, no real breaks unless they’re told. I’ve even seen some of them massaging their legs or stretching because they’re clearly in pain from being on their feet so long. And instead of showing any concern, management threatens them and tells them to stop. That’s not just unfair—it’s cruel. These are young people doing the best they can, and they’re being punished for having normal, human reactions to exhaustion.
I’ve also seen some of the online reviews where people complain about the staff having attitudes or not smiling enough. But let’s be real—if you were being mistreated, micromanaged, and disrespected every single day, would you be in a good mood? Would you be smiling at work? These kids are doing their jobs under pressure and poor leadership, and it’s not their fault. Blame the management, not the workers who are trying to make the best out of a bad situation.
I even called the park to ask how much they start paying their staff, and was told it’s around $9 an hour. Considering how much responsibility these young employees have and the energy they put into keeping everything safe and running smoothly, that pay is a real disappointment. It just doesn’t reflect the hard work they do every day.
I want to be clear: the staff themselves are not the problem. These kids work hard and genuinely want to do a good job. I believe they could run this place well on their own if given the chance. The real issue lies with the management—how they treat the employees, how they micromanage, and how they fail to provide support and respect.
I’ve witnessed managers speak harshly to the staff, correct them in front of guests, and rush them without any encouragement or thanks. These young workers are the ones keeping everything running smoothly, yet they’re treated like they’re invisible.
This is not how you build a strong team or support young people in the workplace. Whether it’s their first job or they’ve been working there for a while, no one deserves to be micromanaged and disrespected like this. Every worker, no matter how long they’ve been there, deserves a positive and supportive environment.
Launch HR and corporate need to take a serious look at what’s going on. These workers deserve more than this. They deserve respect, encouragement, and basic human kindness.
To other parents: please keep this in mind when planning your visit. The front of the park may be all fun and games, but behind the scenes, it’s a different story.
Until I see real changes, I won’t be returning with my family.

Read moreAwful. Never ever ever ever ever again. We drove 40 minutes up to Prattville - if you live in Montgomery or east - DO NOT waste your time. The management is so bad it's jaw-dropping; I have zero doubts this place will go under in 12-18ish months. This is one of the few reviews I've taken the time to leave in over twenty years of using the googles. Spent hundreds of dollars taking nine kiddos for a fun day. Jumping + two rounds of laser tag. 45' into jumping, kiddos went to go play laser tag. No one there to set up the game. After speaking to nearly every employee in the place, and waiting 30 minutes (check the cameras), an employee FINALLY SHOWS UP - WOOHOO!! - only to tell us, nope, sorry, you can't play, and a birthday party filed into play (we weren't a reserved birthday and not cool enough, I guess). I ask how long the game will last. She says, "10 minutes max". We wait 10 more minutes. She disappears. The birthday party comes filing out. I can't find the girl.
Try to find someone to help out. My daughter and her friend are attempting to redeem tickets at the little prize counter thing. I join them in line and wait on the folks in front of us. About three minutes later, I get to ask the girl working the counter to help out, and she says, (and I'm not kidding) - "I just can't, I can't do this, I have a birthday party" and she turns around and leaves.
I can't blame her, or any of the poor employees subjected to this atrocious understaffing. I didn't get upset - it's not her fault. it's not their fault. I do blame the management for putting these kids in such a tough situation / subject to this amount of chaos. Not cool.
I finally track down an employee to show me to the manager to ask if our nine kids can play laser tag. We get (sort of) escorted to the manager who is working a register. I watch as she's given the info. She covers her mouth and then the "envoy" bee-lines away. Clearly she was told to ignore us. We give up and leave.
**Add - while this was all going on, we waited 20 minutes to get drinks with a kid (poor guy) who couldn't figure out how to fill an icee. Fortunately another girl game to his rescue; "Toddler Time was up at 1200 and toddlers were bouncing around with teenagers at 1220 (not cool - kinda dangerous, and the music - come on man!)
All in all, atrocious. Mismanagement at it's finest.
Free advice (if you're reading this, which I highly doubt) -- pay those kids "time-and-a-half" on Fridays/Saturdays/holidays. Also, I'm sure your margins are such that you can have 10% (maybe even 20%) more employees working on said days to ensure you don't create "NEVER AGAIN" customers like myself. Finally - spend the money and upgrade your IT. Aside from the customer service, the IT was even...
Read moreI'm giving this place of 4 Stars instead of 5 because of the experience I had when I went here with my son. When we went we decided to do one of their packages where you could jump for an hour and then play laser tag and also have a $20 card to play games in the small arcade area when you walk in. Everything was really good everybody was very friendly that work there. The jump time seemed a lot longer than an hour which I'm not complaining about because I mean you only pay for an hour and it feels like longer than that. But I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because my son is 7 years old and we had two issues while we were there. One being when he went to play dodgeball in the DodgeBall area and they allowed adults in that area to play dodgeball. I don't mind if adults play dodgeball that's not the problem the problem was that they were allowing the adults to throw the ball really hard at the kids. And yes I know it's a softball but if that ball hits a child in the face it could hurt them and then the parent has to consoled their own child for that. I'm sorry I just don't agree with it. The other issue I had was when we were done jumping and playing laser tag so we went to spend the $20 card we had in the arcade. We played a couple of games and then it said that our card was empty. And I knew that was not possible seeing as how we had only spent $10 out of the $20 that were supposed to be on the card. So I went up to the front desk and I asked them to see how much money was on the card originally. So one of the helpers looked it up and said that there's no money on the card. I told her that I knew that I wanted to know how much money was originally put on here. And she told me that only $10 was put on to the card. And this came as a surprise to me seeing as how I paid for the package that put $20 on the card. But anyways she said that she could fix it that she just needed to see the receipt so I showed her the receipt which I did not have a problem with doing. What I did have a problem with was the way she treated me as if I was lying about it and how she went and got her manager involved because of this. It was their mistake yet I was treated like a criminal and like it was my fault. I don't like being blamed for someone else's mistake. I was very understanding and very patient up until that point. My son and I will be going back to jump because I mean we did spend a ton of money on the stupid socks there and we did have a good time I just did not like the way I was treated towards the end because of something that was not...
