Beans & Brews Coffee House — Restaurant in Millcreek

I absolutely love this location! After a recent bad experience at a different place, I’ve decided to stick with this one because it’s never let me down. I come to Beans and Brews almost every day, sometimes more than once, because I not only love the coffee but also the amazing staff. I know all their names, and they know mine! It feels like we’re friends to some degree, and it’s such a comforting feeling to walk into an establishment and be greeted with so much kindness and energy. I always leave feeling better than when I arrived!

The team here is truly wonderful, and I genuinely appreciate each of them. For instance, after my poor experience at the Highland Drive location, I called this store to check the price for a large coffee because I’d been charged for a large but only given a medium. When I addressed it at the other location, the staff there were rude, slammed the window in my face, and just poured the medium into a large cup without even an apology. They also ignored my calls when I tried to follow up, leaving me feeling awful.

However, when I called this location, they answered right away, confirmed the price, and even invited me over so they could remake my drink. The staff apologized repeatedly for the other store’s actions, even though it wasn’t their fault, and their thoughtfulness really made my day. It also made me realize how rare it is these days to find people who genuinely take pride in their work, even in a coffee shop.

I believe that no matter where you work, if you do your best and take pride in it, you’ll make it great. Sadly, over the past few years, this mindset has declined so much that I often dread going out to certain places because it ends up being a disappointment. But not here! I have been going to this location for years and have had a consistent five star experience; however, after this location changed hands I have had a consistent one star experience. I would go as far as to give zero stars on certain occasions. The speed of service and quality of product are unacceptable and the staff is inexperienced and indifferent. Today, I gave this location my final visit in hopes of having a different experience, but I was unsurprised at being served an iced latte with what tastes like a cup of half and half. When I sent it back to be fixed, they tried to fix it by pouring some of the drink out and adding an additional shot of espresso. Fed up, I took my drink and left. The cashier at this store drive thru is stealing money. I ordered a drink she told me the amount which was like 3.95. Seemed high compared to previous purchases I just assumed they raised the price. She went to hand me a nickle I told her I knew it want much but keep it then I asked for my receipt so I could scan it for points and it was just over 3.00! I'm more angry at the business at this point for ignoring this issue than the teenage girl who did it. I contacted online customer service and noone has responded in over 2 weeks.
