Crown Burgers — Restaurant in Millcreek

They say "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"- I respectfully disagree; I've been skinny, and, unequivocally, I've never felt as good- nor tasted anything as good- as I have before this nearly religious experience at the Crown burger #4 on highland in SLC. Welcoming the birth of my daughter is the only relatable experience of pure joy and bliss. And considering she's a teenager now, and in college, that may have to be re-evaluated. Had it been a son instead, hands down: Crown burger wins. This I say because I'm sure any male offspring I would have had a hand in creating would be too much like myself, and as such, an abject disappointment. I also must add that, had I a male child, I would probably have eaten him, and also compared the taste of his skinny ass to the exquisite dining experience I had this evening (with my beautiful wife Leslie) and would still insist; skinny can go screw itself. Leslie had the rib eye steak sandwich, which I dutifully took half of; this thing was huge! It was by and far the best steak sandwich of all time. Of All Time! (Copyright Kanye West) I myself had the bacon cheeseburger (amazing) onion rings (perfect in every way), beef taquitos (oh, blessed deep fried constructs of pure joy!) And fries. Fries. THE BEST DAMNED FRIES THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN! There. I said it. And I will fight any man, woman, or child who dares to argue that with me. I will cut them. I will cut them so bad. Really. I will. The Crown Burger (#4) on Highland drive in SLC. Go there. Do it. You'll be a better person for it. Skinny...

Not sure how CB gets anything less than 5 stars. This is a Utah institution. Best burger in the valley. Every CB location is just a little different. For instance, this particular location doesn't have Cherry Coke. There are subtle differences like this at each location....but the food is always so good. The Crown Burger and Bacon Cheese Burgers are the only way to go. (Ask for your bacon to be crispy) The fries are a nice mix of crispy on the outside and crunchy on the outside. The onion rings are golden brown and seasoned perfectly every time. The restaurant is big so there are usually plenty of booths to accommodate your family or friends. If you are in the drive thru....they have the system down to a science. Order, pay, pull in to a spot and wait for your food....they will have it out to you fast. Never get sick of this place.....you could eat here 45 days straight and get something...

Other than looking like it was straight out of the 70's and could be used as a set for the Brady Bunch, not appealing rather distracting and hideous decor. Food was fairly tasty, always tell when the meat in a restaurant is not fresh. If you like plain flavorless fries then you found the right place, they do come out hot just nothing special and they were frozen. It's weird because half the employees on all occasions I've visited super happy while the other half were very pissy and angry. So depending on who you talked to your visit could either change drastically or be good? One thing I scored them low on is they seem to skimp on the syrup in their soda's. Didn't matter if it was Root Beer, Coke or White Soda it all was more heavy on the flavorless side. Oh back to the food, it's okay nothing that really knocks it out of the park. Close but....
