I have lived in the area for about 3 years since moving from California to Utah and have passed this place many times and finally decided to stop and give it a try. This is by far one of the best places in Utah for Mexican food (it is really hard to find a good spot here). My family and I tried the Super Burrito, enchiladas, rice and beans (you can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant by their rice and beans and theirs are fantastic, reminds me of the ones my Grandma would make). We also had the tamales which were so good. The salsa was great it's freshly prepared and has a nice kick to it. The enchilada sauce is really good, as is the sauce put on the burrito. You can tell they use authentic spices when making the food it isn't just salt added. I ordered my food to go and enjoyed a nice conversation with the owner while waiting (Very sweet lady). So if you're looking for a good spot with flavorful food i'd say give it a try! But then again if you're like most here that don't like spice, and prefer your food very bland i'd say keep going down the street to la frontera where they'll politely serve you a taco similar to that sold at...

You can get better mexican food across the street from Rancho Market.. This place is not a Mexican cafe and I think the owner's would be better off just letting this place closed down.. or getting a better cook in there that knows about mexican food. Truth be told is harsh but the trurth... True honest Consumer researcher giving you the facts...
Read moreI had never eaten here until yesterday. The food was delicious, mouth watering flavors. I spoke with the owners, very kind people and making every effort to ensure that we were happy with our delicious shredded beef tacos. The had tiny diced pieces of either habanero or jalapeno that made the taste and heat just perfect for us. We will definitely eat here a lot more frequently. I have friends from northern New Mexico that would attest that in the Salt Lake City vicinity there's no closer to Mom's home cooking than Ida Salazar's authentic New Mexican restaurant! You don't last in the restaurant business since 1982 at the same location without doing a great job. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. and Mrs. Salazar and eat their...
