Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Millsboro

My sister talked me into going here one night at 9:20 , talking about how great they’re Mac n cheese and Cajun fries were. Pretty steady business that evening. We pull up to the window, no Mac n cheese, not a problem we can order fries instead. Total was about 23 dollars which is a very reasonable price for three to eat. They take my payment and ask us to pull up for LESS than five minutes. 15 pass, and seeing others drive away with their meals. I’m walking up to the window now and the lady realizes they never got our order out. She asks her co workers to get our orders out. She comes out again and tells me they still need to drop our food. NOT EVEN STARTED COOKING!!!! The items we were waiting for were chicken nuggets. She and another employee offered us the tenders so we could get home with our toddler. It’s now 10pm. In the mean time, many apologies were given, I understand the frustration as I work in fast food myself. They ended up giving us the nuggets anyways, which anything was fine at this point. We were informed that the manager did not want to get our order out putting fresh orders before us when wait for 40 minutes!!!! Her name? Jen. An overnight manager who obviously does not care about customers. Even worse, she gave us MASHED POTATOES instead of our fries because “they didn’t have any left”. Which from The sounds of it the manager did not want to drop fries just like she did not want to drop are chicken nuggets. These two young ladies that helped us out and giving apologies were the sweetest employees we have ever met in fast food. All they wanted to do was help, but Jen did not care. I don't like when I go to a restaurant and they always have the air condition on especially when it's the winter months and early spring it makes no sense to me and us being older people why would you have the air on air conditioner on and the prices are way too high it's like going to Kentucky Fried Chicken the prices are freaking outrageous I came back from overseas thinking that I can get a meal that's a decent price and actually I got two pieces of chicken and coleslaw and a biscuit and a drink for $11 I will never go there again I love Popeyes Chicken but I'm not going to pay $11 for two pieces of chicken and a biscuit and coleslaw that's just insane because outside of this country the prices at restaurants or even going to groceries or like paying the same price if I was living back in the 1920s. Ordered on the app for pick up at the drive-thru. Was told after 5 minutes at the window to please pull over to a spot while new fresh fish was cooked. After 10 minutes of sitting in the car, we noticed that the guy behind us in the original line who had pulled over too got his food. The person stood at that vehicle for a few minutes and then left, but he never moved. We then see another person come to their car and bring another bag. By this point it's in a good fifteen minutes and still no food for a simple order of two shrimp orders plus a fish sandwich. I finally give up and go inside and ask for my food is, I am asked by the lady from the window to hold on 1 minute. But in the meantime, the person from the other vehicle comes in with 2 bags and basically makes me move out of his way. The counter people then decide to help him first instead of me and come to find out they had given him my bag as well as his, I demanded a refund but was told since I ordered on the app. I couldn't get one from them, The whole ordeal to get two shrimp orders and one fish sandwich took at least twenty five minutes.
