My wife and I made a Saturday date out of checking out Levantine grocery stores in the Milwaukee area. We had three stops on our list: Breadhouse, Holy Lands Grocey and Attari grocery.
Our first stop was Breadhouse. When we walked in I was tempted to call it a wrap because who needs anything after you go here? While Bread house isnât a grocer it sure has every bakery need youâd desire, if youâre cooking Levantine food. The have fresh baklava, Turkish bread, pita and a variety of Arab baked goods.
Additionally, they have a kitchen and prepare a wild variety of goods to eat there including Mediterranean salad, Baba ganoush, samosas and much more.
We ordered two samosas, one meat and one chicken as well as a piece of baklava.
The samosas were better than anything Iâve had ever: light, crispy and perfectly cooked. Unbelievably good 5/5. The baklava was a walnut variety and again, perfect, flaky and very pleasant 5/5
We also bought several pieces of Turkish bread which added a stop on our list: G. Groppi market so we could buy marinara and fresh mozzarella to make pieces with our Turkish bread.
Based on our needs we couldâve ended our day there but we...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Bread House in Wisconsin, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warm, inviting atmosphere that MJ has carefully cultivated. The rustic decor, combined with the smell of freshly baked bread, sets the perfect tone for a delightful meal.
The menu at Bread House is a testament to the owners passion for quality and creativity. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece. The bread, of course, is the star of the showâperfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, with a variety of flavors that cater to every palate. The sandwiches are generously filled and bursting with flavor.
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Bread House is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. MJâs passion and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience are evident in every aspect of the restaurant.

Read moreUpon entering the restaurant, I was struck by how clean and well-maintained it appeared. To my surprise, the owner himself was the one greeting customers at the door, which I found to be a very welcoming touch. I decided to order the Zinger, as it was recommended by my wife. I must say, she was right - the sandwithc was absolutely delicious! As an added bonus, the owner even offered me a free beverage, which I thought was a very kind gesture.
As I was getting ready to leave the restaurant, the owner approached me to ask for feedback on the food. He specifically wanted to know how he could improve the experience for my next visit. I gave him a few suggestions based on my own preferences, and he was very attentive, taking notes on what I had to say. I was impressed by his willingness to listen and make changes based on customer feedback.
Overall, I had a great experience at the restaurant. The food was fantastic, the owner was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. I wish the restaurant continued success and look forward to...
