JJ Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I called ahead of time to order my food. The guy on the phone said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I left out from my job at the Mayfair professional building 10 minutes after I made the call. It took me 12 minutes to get there. Once I got there and paid for my food with my card. That's when I was told that I would have to wait an additional 15 minutes. The older guy who took my orders over the phone & who was also the cashier had just given to cook my order. There was one other customer there waiting on his food.(who did not look happy) I sat there an additional 20 minutes. Once I finally got the food (fish & fries), I asked for two hot sauces. The guy put it in the bag. So I left, because my lunch hour was just about over. (Plus, I called ahead b4 even leaving out) I had 2 drive back 2 work, which took another 12 minutes. & when I opened up the food, the cashier had not put hot sauce he had put mild sauce instead. I had 1 piece of bread (the end peice) & the fish was not fried hard as I had requested it over the phone & while standing at the counter. (it was soggy) (I thought that's why I had 2 wait the additional 20 minutes), but I was sadly mistaken. I was very upset! No napkins & the fries were greasy & tasted like they were fried in the same grease that the fish was...

😡HIGHLY Disappointed - Catfish Steak dinner about $23 (FIVE PCS). The breading on the fish is missing a step because it's not sticking to the fish. 😡Because of that missed step, the fish was over fried inside, inside was stiff NOT flaky. Fries were soggy and darker than normal. 😡Fries need to be fried in fresh oil at the correct temp. The slices of bread provided were hard to the touch, similar to bread being left out in the open.😡. I was afraid to even eat the little coleslaw that came with it.

While waiting for my order to be completed I sat at one of the tables which was so uncleaned. The table top had greasy fingerprints and crumbs from food. There was no one sitting in the lobby when I arrived and while I waited. I wonder why. 😔

The only thing that was good this time was the friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was not good and I wouldn't eat it again even if it was free. To be honest!

This was my 2nd time at this location on Silver Spring. I only came back because the 1st time during the 👉🏼grand opening was soooooooo good. Fish wasssssss perfect, the fries were extra crispy and golden, the bread was soft, the coleslaw was alright. I just knew I found the best JJs buttttttttt this 2nd visit convinced me NOT to ever return. I MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT...

I had called to place an order. The same order that I have placed the previous two Saturdays. The last two Saturdays I was given a total of $34.99. Today (5/30/20) I was given a total of $38.17. I then said,” the total went up $3 in the last week?” Then the woman I spoke with got an attitude. She said I’ll let you speak to someone else. She didn’t put me on hold. I heard everything she said to her “manager”. The manager gets on the phone I said the same thing to him. He says I just work here. I told them to cancel my order. I don’t feel safe coming there with everything being unjust. With the woman having an attitude to the supposed price change I will not go back to any JJ’s. I do not recommend this location or any location to anyone. So...
