In summary, the hotel is filthy, and the service is unprofessional, unhelpful, and borderline scam-like. If you can book anywhere else, do so — for your safety, health, and peace of mind.
Here's my story:
My partner and I booked a trip to go to a Milwaukee Bucks game. We would be checking in on the 12th and checking out on the 14th. We live nearly four hours from Milwaukee, so the drive was long, and our check-in was late.
We checked in close to 11 PM. When we entered the lobby, the man at the service desk was on the phone arguing with a customer about her $100 security deposit. I waited in the lobby for him to acknowledge me for nearly twenty minutes. During that time, a young boy, no older than eight, walked into the lobby shirtless and barefoot, to return a vacuum. This was comedic but not an issue. Despite the red flags, my partner and I were tired and looking forward to getting into our room.
After finally acknowledging me and putting the other woman on hold, I was checked in and informed of the same $100 security deposit that I had heard him previously arguing over. We provide payment, get the hotel keys, and proceed to our room.
As soon as I walked in, it was apparent that the room was filthy. No price or deal is worth sleeping in a room of that state. The couch had a thick-creamy liquid splattered onto the arm of it (I wish I was joking). There were stains and food crumbs scattered across the carpet. There were stains on the comforter. This, of course, led me to look at the even worse mattress. Please look at the pictures and STAY AWAY! I cannot put into words how gross it felt even to be investigating the cleanliness of this room.
I immediately requested that my partner speak to the man at the counter. We would not be sleeping in the room or staying at the hotel. Another room would not even be in question after seeing the status of our current room. After waiting for an additional twenty minutes (because the man was arguing with yet another individual over the phone), my partner was told that they had a no-refund policy and that there was nothing he could do. He said his manager would be available the next morning and that we could stay and raise the matter the following morning.
We showed him the pictures of the room and insisted we would not be staying there, again, demanding a refund. It was at this point that he called his manager for approval, and we were then told that the room had been refunded and that it would take a couple of business days to process.
For full transparency, the cost of the room alone was close to $200 for two nights. With the additional $100 holding fee, I was missing out on nearly $300 for that weekend, which I now needed to rebook a different hotel. Regardless of the cost, we knew we could not stay there, so after reassurance that the refund had been processed, we left. Mind you, on our way out, we witnessed the same man arguing with yet another guest who was checking in. The entire experience was appalling.
After four days, the money had not been returned, the security deposit was still pending as a withdrawal in my account, and my bank showed no sign of a processing refund. And so, even though I did not want to, I had to call to check the status of my refund.
When I called, the same man who had checked us in was on the other line. I told him how I was waiting for a refund, not my security deposit which was still pending, but a refund for the room we did not stay in. He informed me that it would take several days and that "it's on the way" and I was told to "be patient." I am incredibly angry at this point as this hotel proved to be an incredible inconvenience and so, again, I asked to speak to a manager. Only then did he request my name to pull up the status of my refund.
I asked again, "Please let me speak to your manager." He then connected me to a woman who told me I had to take it up with my bank.
After nearly a week of waiting, the pending charge finally dropped, and I received a refund for the room. Again, I truly advise that...

Read moreMy family and I just stayed 4 nights in 2 separate rooms there. We were mislead by the rating on Expedia when we booked. Upon first entering the room we stayed in we found numerous large red stains on the carpet. Before long we discovered one of the bathtowels had 4 large holes in it (most of the towels and wash cloths were stained). And there was no coffee in the room to use in the coffee maker. We talked to the desk clerk who told us since the hotel is in-between names the manager has not yet replaced things like the carpet and that they are out of coffee for the rooms, but that he (the manager) is well aware of the issues. Later that evening we discovered the TV's sound was not working. The next day the sound worked off and on but it would randomly go back to the menu and wouldn't let us choose anything. At this point we didn't bother reporting it since it was obvious no one cares what goes on there. During our stay we also saw the pool run out of towels leaving numerous guests running around the hotel wet. There was always water all over the floors. The entire place smelled of weed from the parking lot to the halls of the hotel the entire time we were there. Several times we also smelled cigarette smoke coming from non-smoking rooms. In my mom's room we plugged a phone and phone charger into the outlet just below where the TV sits and it began crackling. In our room, one of the lights over the bed was unplugged (it turns out it's unplugged because the switch on it is broken). While plugging it in we saw the switch plate was busted and half of it was missing. On our last night we were hoping for a good night's rest, but there was at least one child above us (we were on the 2nd floor) running, jumping, and stomping for no less than 3 hours constantly before we called the desk twice (this was after 9:30pm). It slowed at bit but continued for a few hours after the two calls and picked back up the next morning. I only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I didn't feel unsafe (I was also with 3 other people) and I did not witness any bugs...
