I’m absolutely disappointed in the experience we had here yesterday on my daughter’s 7th birthday. My children absolutely love this place and we’ve been on multiple occasions spending a lot of money each time but we will probably never return. We are an immediate family 10 (half adults, half children) and take up space wherever we go, no matter the occasion, when we are all together. Yesterday we invited two of my daughters friends and grandmas (one I called to tell not to come 😢) to casually celebrate for those who could not come to her actual party. After purchasing treats and being there for about 45 mins we were told we would have only 30 mins before needed to leave because we would need to pay a fee to have a private party. I explained that it was just a casual gathering and we are just a large family no matter what but the person who approached us was rude and told us we were taking up her patio and that we would have to wrap it up because she charges $100 or something for private parties. There was no one else there outside at the time and even if, there was still plenty of room left for other guests to come and enjoy the patio or anywhere on the property. I said I would remove the balloons and gifts people brought for my daughter and make sure to condense our space but she still said no she would only give us 30 more minutes to play. I absolutely understand a party or rental fee and we would have gladly honored that at the door if we were having a party but because of how she approached and spoke to us, I will not spend my money here again. It wasn’t professional at all & we all spent money as soon as we arrived on ice cream treats and planned to spend more on food items and snacks to go so we would have well exceeded the fee she wanted to charge us. There is a way to work respectfully with everything, to honor the business and the customer and that was not the way. It was embarrassing for us and disappointing I had to tell my mother not to come. We packed up and let the kids play on the bounce house and she never even came back to tell us we had to leave. We were then invited to use the picnic tables by a gentleman who was very nice and said since we all bought something we could stay but the initial interaction still ruined it for me. Thankful the kids enjoyed themselves and that’s all that matters but I’m still very sad to have had this happen at a place so close to our home and that we just got to...
Read moreCustomer service was terrible. I ordered strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it was very icy and freezer burnt. When I asked for a waffle cone she said they didn’t have any but I saw a different staff give the next guy in line 2… when I asked for her to replace my ice cream she was very disrespectful about it. The rest of the staff were chill and nice. She did give me a new one but made a very big deal about it. Saying I was the first to complain. I could see why tho because her demeanor was of someone u wouldn’t want to approach lol. I can say the new one was very rich and creamy but I’ll never go back after the terrible experience I had with one of the staff. Also if I’m not mistaken it looked like they had children working in the back. I’ve never left a terrible review in my life but I’ve never received such terrible customer service...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Los Gordos Ice Cream Shop is a hidden gem! I stopped by on a hot day and was blown away by the quality and variety of flavors. Everything tasted super fresh and authentic — you can tell they use real ingredients, not just artificial syrups. The Mexican-style treats like paletas, chamoyadas, and ice cream were especially good.
The staff was really welcoming and patient while I decided (it took a while — so many great options!). The shop is clean, colorful, and has a really fun vibe. Prices are reasonable too, especially for the portions you get.
If you’re looking for something unique and delicious, Los Gordos is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll definitely be coming back to try...
