I love the food at Marco’s Pizza however due to my recent experience I have to give this place a 1 star. Let me start off by saying I moved from The south side to to Northwest side of Millwaukee recently which means I have to call the northwest Marcos pizza to deliver to me. I am a creature of habit and get the same thing every time, being the Baked Ravioli. The south side Marco’s pizza always puts the tomato sauce that comes on the ravioli on the side. The person who was taking my order rudely declined my request to have the tomato sauce on the side. I mentioned something that “you guys might do things differently from the Southside”. His response was “the sauce is already made in the ravioli” indicating that the ravioli must NOT be made fresh. Not even knowing how long my ravioli sat before I placed my order was my First turn off and made me want to cancel my order completely. What came next is what shocked me. He asked me “what Marco’s pizza?” After replying “the one on the south side” he responded to me by saying “HE WAS THE OWNER FOR 20 years and I couldn’t of possibly ever gotten my ravioli that way.” The owner really made a fool out of his self because that isn’t how you respond professionally. I didn’t care to argue with someone who’s ego is as big as Donald Trump. I simply thanked him and told him and cancelled my order. I don’t even want to put my money into someone’s pocket or business who can’t hold his composure or treat his customers with respect. Horrible experience overall thanks to the OWNER his self. Wouldn’t wanna even know how his employees handle the customers....
Read moreCustomer service is EVERYTHING!!! Food here is actually decent, which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars rather than one. The FIRST time I ordered here, I was IMMEDIATELY put on hold without a "Hello" or a "This is Marco's Pizza, please hold"...no, quite literally pick up the phone and "HOLD!" and I'm on hold. Debating whether or not this was even worth my time anymore, I thought maybe they were just really busy and having an off day, I'll give it a chance. Customer service has never improved. The food was decent, delivery late twice and the excuse is always that the driver was given directions and went the wrong way(I live 3 minutes down the road and although I could pick up myself, I figure why not? And I ALWAYS TIP MORE THAN 20%). Second time ordering, service again was HORRENDOUS. "HOLD!!" and immediately on hold again. I go ahead and put in the order. And again, food wait was incredibly long to the point where the food was cold once it arrived, apparently the driver doesn't know their way around Milwaukee. Just called 5 minutes ago, "HOLD!!"... then finally an answer and the guy says in the most tired (I'm sick of my job) voice, "Marco's Pizza Northwest"...
I respond and say, I'd like to put in an order for delivery. He responds, "Fine. You're an hour and a half out" I hang up. Your food is good. That does not give excuse for horrible service. Your food is not THAT good. I'll go pick up somewhere else now. You've lost a good paying...
Read moreI prefer ordering pizzas from places that are not a part of a chain. I never tried Marcos until today. A few of my friends have raved about the pizza. I decided to try them for the first time instead of ordering from my “go to” places for our family pizza night. I ordered 3 pizzas 1sausage, pepperoni and onion, 1 bbq chicken no onion no bacon, 1 chicken and mushroom. Honestly I am a bit disappointed, the onions on the pizza were so burned they were black, I tried picking them off but there were so many and they also left an awful taste in our mouths for which I ended up tossing the pizza. Which means that I threw my money in the trash. The crust is undercooked and could actually be better if it were cooked longer as it was a bit doughy. Though the portion sizes for toppings ratio was perfect, I am not impressed with the quality of the chicken. Sauce was good and a nice amount of cheese on each pizza. Prices are a bit steep but I didn’t mind because of how my friend raved about it and knowing that you typically pay more for those not a part of a chain. However premium prices require premium quality of meat. It was better than going to one of the chain pizza places but probably won’t return but I can say that...
