Pietro's Pizza — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Pietros was always one of our favorites, but after our last visit, our family will not be returning. The food left much to be desired.

We waited almost 2 hours for our food when we were told it would be 45 minutes. I don't mind waiting for food, especially if the food quality is as expected. But it definitely wasn't.

The pasta dishes tasted frozen, the lasagna specifically was trash, and the chicken included was HORRIBLE. And THERE WAS HAIR IN ONE OF THE DISHES. The salads were a couple pieces of lettuce thrown into a styrofoam container. When we called to let them know, we received a blatant response saying the owner would call us back.

The owner did call back, at 11:30 at night after their closing time. He was irrate about our review and yelling over the phone, stating he would refund none of it, and he would personally drive to our house, at 11:30 at night, to grab the food we didn't want and needed to see the hair. Ridiculous! When we said that wasn't necessary and we had already thrown the food away, the owner said "do not come back to my restaurant ever again".

The pizza is okay here sometimes but they can't seem to ever get our order delivered to us correctly. The last two times we ordered from them it was literally the same mistake repeated. The first time we phoned in for a pepperoncini pizza. We got a pepperoni pizza instead. Tonight we decided to order from Postmates to avoid any confusion. Exact same mistake... When calling them after the mistake, they blamed Postmates saying their tablet showed pepperoni. I offered to send a screenshot of our order, clearly showing pepperoncini. The guy then starts lecturing about how I should have called them directly in the first place and didn't offer so much as an apology. Didn't feel like getting into a debate about why I ordered through Postmates. Don't offer it if you don't want people to use it. I don't eat meat so now I have to figure out what to do for dinner and what to do with this...

All in all, the food was good. When i called and asked for pasta it was around 10 pm and so they said that after 9pm they could not do it. Once I got there and asked again they notified the cook and they gave the ok for the order, though it was a 35 min wait. The garlic bread could be better though because it was pretty hard to bite into and it tasted a bit burned. My wife on the other hand ordered a salad without the pepperoni add ons, and she liked it a lot. Its worth to mention that she said that it surpassed her expectations and the dressing they provided was delicious as well. The marinara sauce and the cheese sticks were delicious as well and the meatballs, sausage and pasta were delicious too. The marinara tasted homemade, my wife said better than the one olive garden serves. I will go back to tey the pizza, and would recommend this...
