Went to Pitch's as we are traveling around the state trying out all its' supper clubs. Pitch's was on the list and didn't disappoint. Service was absolutely incredible. The wait staff consistently checked on us and made sure our glasses were filled and needs met. With ribs being advertised as their specialty i went thinking the dining room would be far more casual than it was. The dining room was very clean, with proper linens and such. The food was good but I would not describe it as great. I had the trio which included ribs, shrimp and sicilian breaded steak. the ribs were excellent, the shrimp was good, but I felt the steak could have used seasoning. That being said, I have never had sicilian steak before so I could be off on my assessment. One of our party asked if they had any specialty olives for their drink and the waitress said she could stuff some olives with blue cheese for us. Wow, who volunteers anymore? I would venture a guess that most places would have said no. The prices were also very reasonable for what we had. Finally, we asked to have our picture taken with the owner, Jimmy Picciurro, the third generation owner, and we had a short chat with him. He was very polite and accommodating. We've had other owners who have seemed to be put out by the request. We will be going...
Read moreIf there were no stars, that would be a better assessment. The food is like something you would see on Gordan Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares!!! Like literally, everything in the restaurant is older than my mother. As a matter of fact, I asked her about this place and she said she use to go here in the 20s. Mind you, my nothing is 70 years old. Thus, the décor and ambiance was as old and antiquated as a rotary phone. Carpeting is old and stained looking. Literally. Nothing has been refreshed since they've opened. All of our food looked microwaved and not fresh. The waitress tried to force an incorrect order on a person in our party. After 4 attempts at doing this she finally gave up and went back to the kitchen to correct the error. Which was not the person who ordered it's fault. Finally the look from the waitress when a member wanted to leave cash for his meal was priceless. He actually felt so obligated to appease her that he stayed until the bill came to prove his was not skipping out. There is nothing anyone would want to take from this place. Including the food they've paid for. Not my style in general. Staff was less than friendly. Won't be back until they...
Read moreBy far, this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. My wife and I ordered typical dinners and waited for the food to show up. We were given breadsticks and soup. Then, we were given a bill for the full dinner. We never received our dinners, but we did receive multiple threats for not paying a bill for food which we never received. The restaurant called the police and so did we. When the police arrived, officer Lopez (badge number 2139) of the Milwaukee Police Department and his partner firmly grabbed their police batons and aggressively implied that we needed to pay the bill for a meal we never ate. When trying to reason with the officers they each put their hands on their firearms and officer Lopez said "You can either pay the bill and complain on things like Yelp, or you can each get a $300 fine." My wife was too afraid to deal with a confrontation with armed Milwaukee police officers, so she threw down her credit card.
I can only imagine that the food is so horribly awful that the restaurant would rather brow-beat folks into paying for theoretical meals, rather than actually serving them anything...
