Rosati's Pizza - Milwaukee Bay View — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I order from this location pretty frequently. I have not had a bad experience until today. Unfortunately this order was for our office staff and not for my personal needs. The order was placed online through Rosati's (not GrubHub) at 12:18pm and was to be delivered before 1:30 pm for our staff lunch. I had called at 130pm to check on the status of the Delivery order and was asked if we would like it remade and someone could pick it up. UMMMMMMMM that would be a big NO this was for a Staff lunch and needed it delivered at the specified time on the order(between 105-120pm). I am sorry you "did not have a delivery driver" if that was the case a quick 5 minutes of your time to call and let me know would have been appreciated. The choice was rather negligent on the Rosati's Staff part. I waited until 130 pm to check the status as a courtesy to Rosati's staff knowing it was lunch time and could be busier than usual with orders. This not a common occurrence from past ordering experiences and am frustrated that it happened for work purposes and not my personal order. The only solution I was given was to remake for carry-out. I replied with " No this was for a staff lunch which would be too late to eat and to refund my money" All I got was " I am sorry" Due to the "MISCOMMUNICATION" our staff did not eat lunch and were left to find other options in a timely manner. I love Rosati's, but was extremely disappointed by my experience here recently. We walked in on a Tuesday night, about an hour before they closed, it didn't seem terribly busy, nobody was moving with a sense of urgency. We ordered two Italian beefs, an order of fries, and an order of jalepeno poppers. After we ordered, we were told it would be 20-25 minutes for our order. Seemed like a long time for a couple fryer items and a sandwich that is basically just meat and bread. But whatever...

My girlfriend said she was cold so we told the lady at the counter we would wait in the car which was parked directly in front of the window, but we never got a signal or anything that our order was ready. We're really not sure how long it sat in the warmer.

Everything up until this point is forgivable in my opinion, and I would have shrugged it off as growing pains for a new location, but when I bit into the Italian beef, it was the saltiest thing I've ever tasted. I love salt, I'll put it on everything. In fact, I should probably cut back. I suspect the au jus was made incorrectly. Trust me folks, it was saltier than the dead sea.

Despite the website and door displaying an 11 am opening time, when I arrived at Rosati's at 11 am to pick up lunch for my work crew, the doors were unexpectedly locked. Despite me placing my order over the phone at 10:48 am, the staff refused to open the doors leaving me waiting in the rain for over 15 minutes. They just watched me wait in the rain. After soaking wet, I decide to go to my car and call Rosati’s but this time they did not answer. This was the closest decent food restaurant to take my crew, so I patiently waited because this is what my hard working crew asked for.

As I waited in my car, I noticed several other customers also faced the same issue, including a lady with her baby. The staff just watched as a lady with her baby stood out in the rain knocking on the door trying to get inside to pick up her food. It wasn't until 11:43 am that the staff finally opened the doors….with no explanation they just proceeded as if nothing happened. My crew love Rosati’s pizza, we order the food all of the time for our work events. But this experience with this location has led me to decide it's my first and last visit to this location due to poor customer service and a lack of consideration for customers' time.
