I wasn't expecting a lot when I was invited to dinner inside of a casino, but I was so impressed with everything at RuYi! First of all, parking was very easy, thanks to the immense parking garage attached to Potawatomi. When you get to the second level skywalk, it's east to find the restaurants. Despite the flashings, whirs, and music, of the room full of slot machines, as soon as you enter RuYi, you feel like you're at a Japanese restaurant anywhere else. The red walls make the space feel cozy while the tables are spread out enough that you aren't bothered by any other groups. We tried a good variety of the food. The $1 sashimi (deal only available on Wednesdays) was really great as appetizers or to share. The Japchae with shrimp (Glass noodles, egg, shiitake mushroom, carrot, bok choy, bell peppers, sesame seeds) was incredible! Without shrimp, it was vegetarian/dairy free/gluten free. And I had leftovers that were still amazing the next day. The seaweed salad was one of the freshest I've had. And the drinks were fun to try, since most were made with very good sake. Highly recommend if you want to try a new place or just to see what Potawatomi has to offer.

I've never eaten at a restaurant inside a Casino before but RuYi surely did not disappoint for my first time! Depending on how busy the casino is, there is usually a line with a wait time but we did not have to wait long since it was a Tuesday evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern yet traditional and our waitress was very kind and attentive. I ordered the cashew stir fry which is a perfect option for vegetarians. It was extremely flavorful and hearty. My grandma ordered the sweet and sour chicken which was delicious. My mother ordered the kung pow chicken which was also great but on the spicier side. Our food came out fast and there are many options on the menu. I have had the shrimp fried rice before and definitely recommend that to anyone who is picky or not sure of what to order. I haven't been to any of the other restaurants in Potawatomi but i would highly recommend this one to anyone coming here to play! I would eat here again and definitely also recommend the locally sourced beer they have on the menu.

I've been losing my wages at Poto for many years now and I have never eaten here. This was my first time and I have to say that I will definitely be back. BBQ pork buns and crab rangoon were EXCELLENT. I don't know about anyone else but glowing red sweet and sour sauce is the best. Also had sweet and sour chicken. Ate WAAAAY too much. The host that was taking care of seating as well as our server and the gentleman that was in charge of getting the dinners out were all very hospitable. We didn't mind the wait at all. That being said, when you have the little "place in line" thing, and you happen to have it in your back pocket, don't forget it's there. That thing went off and I almost fell off the seat at the slot I was at! Will Be Back!

Broccoli stir fry with beef. Plate consists of broccoli, Cantonese sauce, jasmine rice, and choice of protein. Portion size as a plate alone is a bit small. Price was higher than what I think it should be. Overall, the plate was good. For being a stir fry, I would like other vegetables to be included. I might order again with an appetizer. Lettuce wraps with shrimp. Appetizer consists of pine nuts, shitake, bell peppers, red onion, green onion, garlic, butter leaf lettuce, crispy vermicelli noodles, cilantro ginger pistou, and choice of protein. Portion size as an appetizer was enough. Price was higher than what I think it should be. Overall, the appetizer was good. I would order it again.

RuYi, tucked inside Potawatomi Casino, is a hidden gem where Asian cuisine dreams come true. This place nails it with their sushi and fresh sashimi that’ll make you rethink your love for burgers. The Peking duck and kung pao chicken are so good, you’ll want to order extra just to take home and relive the magic. The staff? Super friendly and on top of their game. They’ll help you navigate the menu and make you feel like a VIP. Plus, their drink menu is stacked with great wines, beers, and cocktails – perfect for washing down all that deliciousness. If you’re at Potawatomi and need a break from the slots, hit up RuYi for some seriously tasty eats and good vibes.

Fantastic food and a lovely location. Often a long wait, this place has always been great. Creative recipes on your favorites, so expect something that is next level. My only disappointment was the tuna tar tar, as I didn't think the texture was as amazing as the sashimi cut I expected, but it had great flavor and presentation. I am also quite pleased with the flatware, as I normally get annoyed with cheap cutlery when everything else has such nice attention to detail. They really focused on the details here. The food here was top notch, and Tommy did a great job keeping things topped off. We will go back soon!
