Deceptive up selling practices and wait times is what gives this place 2 stars. I ordered a small mango chamoy margarita. The server said "with hornitos?" So rightfully I assumed by him saying that it was what it came with. I was expecting to pay $15 which is already a lot for a margarita if you ask me but I was flabbergasted when I received the bill and my margarita was 21.50. I actually thought that I was wrong because it was a large party of 18 people and thought that I had gotten the wrong drink on my check. I flagged the server down and said oh this isn't what I ordered. He said "yeah that is with the hornitos." I didn't want to make a big deal about it so I just said "oh ok" but I didn't feel like that was cool because the server had made it sound like that's what it came with. He was super nice though so again I didn't want to make a big deal about it. On top of that the wait times are incredibly long. I waited at least 20 minutes for my margarita and it didn't even have the tamarind tajin stick it was supposed to come with. Luckily our server was quick to go grab one when I asked for it so I wasn't upset. It took a long time before we were able to put in a food order. All of our food came out at very different intervals. Which as a big group I do understand but it does stink to be sitting around waiting for food while everyone else eats. The food was mid and the cost was certainly overpriced. Chili relleno was good but even though it was deep fried it was soggy. The carnitas were not good, had no flavor and were very dry. For one chili relleno with rice and beans, four street tacos with rice and beans, one margarita, plus tip I walked out spending $74. Absolutely NOT WORTH IT. Especially when you factor in the wait times. We were there for three hours. I was so ready to leave. I have zero desire to return to a margarita...
Read moreTo be honest I was not impressed with anything I bought. The queso was one note; it didn't really have any flavor. The salsa was alright, but it's not for me given I don't like cilantro. I will say that at least the salsa was complimentary. The tortilla chips weren't the least salty. The nachos were supposed to be ground beef, but that's not what I got. This is beef, but I'm presently blanking on what you call this. I wouldnt be mad if it at least tasted good, but the flavor of the meat doesn't go with the nachos at all. The nachos were also soggy, which I'm not surprised. I ordered pick-up online. I expected to see a text that it was ready for pick-up like anywhere else I've ordered food, but I didn't. I waited the full wait time the website said it would take, and like an additional 10 minutes before I checked the email I got and saw I could pull up a tracker. It was ready. Who knows how long. That might be my fault. Maybe I missed reading something saying you would need to use the tracker or you'd never know it's ready, but anyway, even the drink I got didn't have any flavor except very faintly. Considering I spent like $40, I'm heavily disappointed. I don't intend to finish any of this. As for service, when I walked in, no one was at the front desk. Thankfully my food was just sitting by the door in this one section so I just grabbed it and walked out hoping that was ok? There wasn't any posted signage so I'm assuming that's what they want customers to do?
Anyway, I don't think I'm...
Read moreSo my husband and I ate here it was a slow evening there was only 1 other couple at the time we had been seated. I had let the waiter known that it was out first time at the restaurant and that we didn’t go out very often. However it wasn’t a special occasion so no need to leave us be for long periods of time or anything like that. The waiter was nice and prompt at first took our drink order me but that’s when things fell apart. It took him nearly 10 mins to deliver a soda to my husband. By the time he came back I had decided I wanted a beer. Lord you would have thought the restaurant was completely packed. It took 12 mins to get my beer to me. And I had to ask for my beer 2 times. We hadn’t even ordered our food at this point. Let me say the chips and salsa were good but the chips were all broken so it was kinda hard to get nice big chips to dip them into the salsa, but the flavors were good. We ordered some bean dip as it’s one of my favorite things to try while I’m at a Mexican restaurant. They are amazing don’t skip them. When our food came the lettuce was wilted and some pieces were almost rotten. They had “fresh” radishes that were rubbery and tasted rotten. Overall the food was ok the portions were very good but the prices were just too expensive for what the quality is. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant but needs...
