Went and got the mushroom Swiss burger. Now I was starving from work so I'll do my best to not go about rating it how a hungry lunatic would (cause it really was one of the best burgers I have had in a hot minute.)
Mushroom burger-Yet. The burger was smushed just a tad but it didn't matter cause the accessibility to it was easy and found myself still able to neatly eat the burger. Meat was above average for sure in the juicy department, and as for flavor of the meat it really complemented the mushrooms well. (Although next time I may substitute the cheese for pepper Jack I feel the just nitch of zing would go really well with the the burger. But that's my preference.)
Fries- OK. I wanna say. I've been in the kitchen industry for 11 years. I've worked at a lot of locations and these fries. Oooooooh boy. Idk if they had JUST changed the oil or if their fryer is taken good care of. But those puppies were fresh! I wanted to get a large. I was a bit confused with the menu myself. I kinda didn't know what making it a large would cost. Maybe I missed it. That could be my error. Yet bottom line. Best God dam fries ever. Salted beautifully. I wonder what their other fried sides taste like 😋
I feel like the coslaw is made in house. It's usually good. I mean. I don't always eat coslaw but their coslaw tasted like it would be extremely good to maybe put on top of one of their other burgers. It was good too I enjoyed it.
Overall experience. I mean. For a outside place in the location it's in its very nice. I mean they seem popular for their soft serve cones cause everyone was waiting in line for mainly that. It seems like a popular place and a good get together hub for teens. It gives off that 80s outside diner vibe and I kinda loved it. If I was younger I bet that would be the go to. Either way delicious food and will be returning. Great place. Highly...
Read moreCame in for a beverage and pickles, the cashier was an older gentleman super funny great customer service. My husband order a shake the cashier says what size and my husband says well I can’t get it in a 32oz anymore ( jokingly as the vibes good) the cashier says well I can buy you have to pay for 2. Mg husband says okay, sold! And the cashier nods at his flavor choice and we continue the great experience. We wait how ever long and the pager they give you when your order goes on off so we go up to the window and as this older lady hands us our drinks she says “ We will not do this again. You’ll be getting 2 cups from now on.” I respond that’s fine but we did pay for two he just wanted one cup and the cashier suggested it.” The lady handing over the items with the most aggressive tone says “ They don’t want us putting shakes in 32oz cups it won’t happen again you’ll be getting c two cups.” My husband then ask for straws not knowing there’s already 3 in the bag she handed me and I said I have the she did give us three in the process of me talking she closes the window in a very unpleasant way. We’ve been going to this mikes drive in location for so long that won’t change but it’s crazy to me that you are so annoyed with the action of your coworker that instead of handling the issue internally you feel the need to voice it to the customer. Mind you this wasn’t a formal request more like a...
Read moreWhere to even start! I was there this evening around 9:30. I was served by Dakota M and I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Basket without lettuce, onion and tomato. I also ordered it with onion rings (which I was not told there was a $3 upcharge). I paid $17.69 and left a $3 cash tip. I got a bag of food, and drove back home. When I got into the wrappers the food was in, I found first that I was given fries and not onion rings, and then after opening the burger I discovered that it was even the burger that I ordered. It was the person on front of me that ordered a Guacamole Burger that had in addition to guacamole, lettuce and tomato. So I call the location. It was 9:54 when I called and the answer of the phone was “Mikes Drive In, we’re not taking anymore orders after 9:45”. I paused and told him the situation he asked me for the ticket number and said “well you can come back right now and we’ll fix it”. I was already home in Happy Valley at this point. I told him that t was more about them not checking and double checking the order. He did not offer me a refund for an order that was COMPLETELY WRONG. I told him that I will not be back and he said “have a good day” and hung up on me. This was not the guy that served me and if it was a manager then you all need do some soul searching as to whether your in the right business because the individual who answered the phone needs a new...
