The Broken Bean — Restaurant in Minden

It's been a great place for sometime until April 30th. I was backing out of my parking spot and I had my pitbull Zues with me which I'm highly protected towards.. As I was backing out and old man in a white Ford flew in the parking spot behind me. I had to hit my brakes hard. I came with in inches from hitting the truck. I Yelled a few choice words because of how the guy flew in the spot behind me and I almost hit him. Then the guy got out of his truck and yelled back at me saying you don't talk to me like that . I took off fast because I was mad and had to cool off.the old man said he didn't see me which was a lie. Then I came back and was parked at hospital parking lot across from broken bean. The manager called Minden police. Because she thought I was going to hurt the guy. I wasn't. I wouldn't hurt anyone. The manager was one sided about the situation. I admit I over reacted. But why be one sided. Even the police were one sided .I guess true friends are hard to come buy. I can't go back anymore. That's fine with me. I'll find some...

This business is portrayed as having down home cooked meals. I chose to sit at a table next to their pantry to realize that everything that they serve is bought from the local grocery store and comes out of a can or a frozen box. Was highly disappointed when I realized that they're baked goods are not made from scratch. Just imagine what this business could do if they actually cook things themselves? And I'm not going to even mention how rude the front staff was. I went to this place twice in one week and was appalled at the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the employees. If you are looking for a home-cooked meal, this is not the place for you. Also their prices reflect those of providing home cooked meals. Save yourself some money and go open up your own can of soup. This place is so deserving of 5 stars! Was looking at coffee shops to go to while staying in Minden for a couple of days, and came across The Broken Bean! First thing we realized when getting there was that it's operated by Louisiana Adult and Teen Challenge, which was awesome. All of the ladies here were so nice, patient, and helpful. Very great atmosphere inside. The food and coffee were equally delicious, and I ended up coming here every morning for breakfast! Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone coming to the area, and wish there were more businesses like...
