Como Tap — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Service was great! Sadly everything else was a little lacking. They got rid of any happy hour food specials that Sporty’s had and it felt like everything was 10-20% more expensive too. I miss cozy club. The food was good, fries are what sporty’s fries used to be (ei. Excellent). Unfortunately the charm just isn’t there anymore either.

A big bummer was that someone kept playing the worst music on the jukebox and the staff didn’t cut them off. It was like a mix of LMFAO, Pit Bull and heavy EDM at 4:30 on a Sunday. They loaded like 40 minutes of music into the machine, I couldn’t wait to pay my tab and escape.

It’s kind of like they put a new coat of lipstick on the old pig everyone liked and are trying to pass it off...

I went to Como Tap with a group of coworkers and ordered a round of shots. I tipped $5 on the shots since they were basic and did not require much effort on the part of the bartender. Upon receiving the shots, the bartender stated in front of me and all my coworkers that a 10% tip was “not enough” for his hard work and effort on filling the glasses. I’ve never experienced such a poor response from someone in a position like this where they barely even deserved the tip that I gave (since pouring the shots was very very minimal effort on their part). My coworkers and I will not be returning to Como Tap anytime soon. What an awful experience and what an entitled...

No servers came to our table for a long time, so I went up to the bar. I appreciated the server at the bar for taking my order, two orders of Mac and cheese. But when it came, it tasted “off” to all 4 us, who split both orders. When it came time to pay, I told the server from before that it tasted off and that we couldn’t finish it - it even sent one girl straight to the bathroom. The server said, “it always tastes like that” and did not do anything for us. That’s fine, I understand this is primarily a bar, but the food should still be safe (and decent?) to eat. I appreciate the service but felt concerned...
