Corner Coffee Northeast — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I just stopped into the Northeast Corner coffee this morning. It was decorated for the holidays and was so pretty! However, the service was not great. I walked in and was the only person and the barista said nothing to me. They finished what they were doing and then came to the register and I ordered my drink. Again, they said nothing. Then, a DoorDash driver came in and he was at the wrong address by mistake and was kind of asking the barista if this was the address and the barista literally just stared at him, and said nothing to his questions. It was really uncomfortable and awkward and I felt bad for the driver. The barista made a drink and set it on the counter, saying nothing, and I went to take it assuming it was mine, and they finally said "that's not yours." I think those were the only words they said to me the whole time. They made my drink next and motioned towards me to take it. Another customer came in as I was leaving and the barista continued to be silent and just look at the customer instead of greeting or asking if they'd like to order.

This is such a bummer because it is a great location and atmosphere, would be really good to work at I think! Maybe the barista was having a bad day, but it was a really uncomfortable experience all around and makes me not want to go back. The drink was...

Such a great experience!! This cafe is so lovely and seems like a great place to get some work done or just chill & sip on some coffee! Sophie was the barista that helped me out and she was so kind! Super fast & efficient and a very friendly face. I got the Salted Caramel Bourbon Latte & some yummy banana bread! Sophie made the drink to perfection and I couldn't put it down it was so good! I love the aesthetic of this place and was so pleasantly surprised at the large amount & offerings of seating! The windows are a huge plus for some nice natural sunlight. Definitely will be coming back!!!!! :)

If a coffee place was just there to be looked at inside I would give this place 5 stars bc wow is it BEAUTIFUL! Looks like a set, however very empty. But, when it comes to the food and drink offered, I couldn’t find any menu, there was one lonely roll left and if I didn’t want that the person working said they could give me a bagel. So much grandeur for so little here. That was it apparently. When I did ask where the menu was they pointed to a small piece of paper flat on the counter. There were still very few choices and I felt pressure to order. To my relief they had coffee (luckily) so I got that and got on my way. The server was nice...
