You will find the typical American bar food menu here, which is essentially the exact same menu that this restaurant group uses at their other locations in the city. They have their own beer offerings which taste great and offer quite a variety but they also have guest beers with a rotating list of local favorites. During this visit, I had the "chicken platter" which was chicken strips and fries. The chicken strips were definitely homemade and were the best I had had anywhere in years. The fries are lightly battered too, which I love. As far as the bowling goes -- our group had a ton of fun! It was relatively affordable at $5 per game, per person. And there was staff attending to the lanes to keep the beer flowing. During our third game, our lane (#8) kept getting stuck and needing manual intervention from the staff to reset the pins and bowling balls. They were always quick to fix and even took the last game off our bill for the inconvenience. Town hall will always feel like home. Warm and cozy with wonderful staff, good food, and great beer!

They closed early on a Sunday... ...for an employee appreciation party. And you could tell because that appreciation is paid forward to the customers. We showed up with a large party and were given plenty notice they were closing early that night. Even putting our name down for bowling right away to get us on the list. We didn't even have to hassle with closing out our tab when going to bowl, the server just figured it out. It felt like a neighborhood bar. Town Hall Lanes is in a beautiful building with sunset light filling the bar area and wood furnishings on nearly everything in the bowling area. After going here you might have a hard time enjoying the larger bowling alleys.

We came to Town Hall Lanes for a celebration at the end of a 10-week challenge for our kickboxing gym; we had such an amazing time! The place was a lot of fun, bowling was a blast and the atmosphere was great for conversation and mingling. The staff were so awesome, always helpful and polite, despite the likely overwhelming amount of people and things they were tasked with. The food was superb, plenty of options and even some pizza for those who didn't eat meat. Drinks were top notch, everyone enjoyed their various beverages. I would love to come here outside of the chaos of an event to just hang out and bowl. Great place, definitely worth visiting! 💙

I want to preface this by saying I do not write reviews often but I will when I feel compelled by good or bad service. First, the food is stellar; I recommend the Thai Flatbread. The problem is when I went to pick up my food (on May 10th, 2023) the bar tender was rude to me. A little edge is fine, but when all I did was give my first name instead of my last name as I didn’t hear the question correctly, the bar tender condescendingly said “there you go” as if I was dumb. Like dude, I’m sorry that me picking up food is an inconvenience to your restaurant(???). This alone is not going to get me to write a review because people have bad days, I know I do but on my previous visit I received the same rude treatment. I went to Towne Hall Lanes with my significant other for a celebration. We wanted to sit in the dining room instead of behind the bowling alley as it is a more casual feel. Because I was asking for an accommodation (there wasn’t any open tables in the dining portion of the restaurant) I was prepared to wait as I am not entitled to an accommodation when I go into a public place but I was rudely told this wasn’t an option because the large party that just left had moved two tables together and they couldn’t accommodate seating two diners at the now larger tables. Totally fair, I worked in a restaurant and I hated when small parties felt entitled to large tables as this literally costs the establishment money. We ended up dining behind the bowling alley and had a stellar tasting dinner. Upon exiting, I saw that the large table had been pulled apart and the two parties behind us had been seated at the now smaller tables… and they were parties of two. Sorry for rambling and I hope I don’t come OFF like a Karen but DONT ORDER TOWNE HALL LANES TAKE OUT UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH RUDE AND PAST THEIR PRIME HIPSTER...

Town hall Lanes had always been a go to spot when I lived in south Minneapolis and I was excited to go back and share this with my out of town family. We decided to bowl and get some food. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing due to the rude and confrontational gentleman working the bowling alley. With 4 adults and 2 children the bowling area is a squeeze and this gentleman felt the need to police and dictate where we could stand. I was scolded for being on the lane with my 3 year old because apparently only one person can be in the lane at a time. Also one of the adults in the group was not bowling but was required to remove their flip flops because it had been raining and wet shoes were not allowed in the seating area of the lanes. When the gentleman discovered that this adult was not wearing shoes or socks, due to the lanes own rules, they were asked to put on socks and when there were no socks to put on they were required to buy a pair from the restaurant and then given bowling shoes to wear. Over the course of the next hour, we were interrupted several times by this gentleman for unknown reasons. When I spoke with our waitstaff they expressed frustration with this gentleman and stated that there have been many complaints by other patrons but nothing has been done. I was very disappointed with the bowling experience but our waitstaff when above and beyond to make sure that the rest of our time was great! Also the sweet corn nachos used to be much better but unfortunately were on par with our bowling experience. If I do return to Townhall in the future, it will only be at one of the...

My wife and I ate here last night to watch the Monday Night Football game. While obviously not a "sports bar", it was a fantastic place to enjoy the game.

The food was fantastic! We had the Chipotle Buffalo wings and one of the flatbread pizzas. This was plenty of food for the two of us. These are some of the best wings I've had in the Twin Cities and I try to have them everywhere that offers them. They were crispy, meaty, and the sauce was excellent! My wife loved the Bleu Cheese.

We tried the beer brewed on site, Masala Mama IPA and Perfect Strike Lager. Both were good, but not the best brewpub brews I've had locally. The "guest" tap selection was excellent though and had one of my favorites, Stone Enjoy By IPA.

The service was excellent! Our server had a ton of tables keeping him busy, but we were never without service when we needed it. Quick, friendly, and non-intrusive. Does it get any better than that?

We did not get a chance to try out the bowling, but have every intention of coming back with friends and/or family to make a night out of it.

Give these...
