In my quest for Mexican cuisine after missing out on a nearby Chipotle, I stumbled upon Listo! Fresh Mexican Grill, and I'm delighted to share my experience. The moment I walked in, the ambiance of the place caught my eyeâclean, modern, and inviting.
Eager to explore the offerings, I ordered a burrito and, enticed by a sweet tooth, opted for the mini churros. The anticipation grew as I patiently awaited my meal. When it finally arrived, the burrito stole the spotlight with its amazing flavor. The blend of ingredients was delightful, and each bite was a testament to the kitchen's skill in crafting Mexican classics.
However, the mini churros turned out to be a bit of a letdown. For some inexplicable reason, they were served extremely cold, and the taste failed to meet expectations. Disappointed with the chilly churros, I opted for the tortilla chips instead, which were good but not exceptional compared to some other Mexican restaurants I've frequented.
Despite the chilly churro hiccup, Listo! Fresh Mexican Grill offers a great dining experience overall. The staff exuded friendliness, adding to the positive atmosphere of the place. The burrito, undoubtedly the star of my meal, showcased the kitchen's commitment to delivering flavorful and authentic Mexican fare.
In conclusion, Listo! is a fantastic choice if you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine in Minneapolis. The friendly staff and the delectable burrito make it a place worth visiting. Just a heads up: while the churros may not have hit the mark during my visit, the overall quality of the food and service compensates for this minor glitch. I'd definitely recommend Listo! Fresh Mexican Grill for a satisfying Mexican dining experienceâjust perhaps skip the churros...
Read moreThe environment is fantastic and the staff were very friendly. I got the carnitas tacos and the steak tacos and the meat was very good. My wife ordered a veggie taco and it was very onion heavy. The green salsa is delicious yet has a kick. I can handle spicy, but wasn't expecting green salsa which is mild pretty at most places to all of a sudden bring the heat. One important thing to know is there is no tap water, you have to buy a bottle. Thankfull we knew this and brought our own, but still you shouldn't have to buy water at a restaurant. Having a larger pitcher or canister full of water for customers would go a long way. You also have to order chips and guac separately. Which leads me to my last point. The guacamole is not very good. It taste store bought in a bad way. My wife and I love guac and this was the only one we have never finished. I want this place to succeed though and think they have what it takes to be a truly...
Read moreI stumbled upon this hidden gem looking for Chipotle per my motherâs request. I wasnât disappointed. Small, family owned, and the ambiance is quite welcoming, Mexico meets MN:) When I walked in, there werenât many patrons, nor too many tables, but they did a good job with the layout and there is outdoor seating. I wouldâve liked some menu clarification and recommendations, but didnât find the staff very engaging. There also seemed to be some disconnects in the kitchen I could see posing an issue if they were busier. But, my stomach was roaring like a lion, so I just went with it. The food is made to order, so it isnât fast by any means. It is pretty tasty, however. Kind of an upscale joint somewhere between Acapulco and Nicoâs Tacos. I wish I had made some clarifications on my order, but hindsightâŠand I wasnât wearing glasses;) All in all, Iâd go back and would recommend if I happened to be in the area again. I hope they do fantastic!...
