Today was a pretty disappointing day with this restaurant. Went to the store, it was raining, so we attempted to call-in but wasn't able to get through and was directed to the online ordering system. The online ordering system was also not working. We decided to stand in the rain for the food as I have been here a few times and have only had one other issue where they ran out of all the food, understandable though cause BBQ can be hard to predict. The food is good.

After standing in the rain for about 10 minutes we got to the lady taking orders and prior to that heard that most of the options were gone now. She stopped and took a phone call in front of us... yes, now apparently she was taking phone calls. We patiently waited and as she was on the phone the guy behind us waived and told her it was him she was talking to. She had the guy jump us in line even though we were patiently waiting to place our orders. When asked if there was certain times they answer and don't answer, the lady said they were busy and stopped answering calls. I get it, it can get busy. But to have her allow someone to jump us in line is absolutely ridiculous and just shows that this company cares more about the dollar then they do the customers.

As a foodie and someone who loves to support local business, I will not be returning here. To get support from a community you have to care about your customers and I've realized that this...

I was extremely excited to try Minnesota Barbecue Co. But they refused to answer their phones saying to use their online ordering system. Go online and try to place and order and they temporarily stopped taking online orders. So then we stand outside when it's drizzling out and patiently wait to support a new local restaurant to have them all of a sudden start taking phone orders again and we were asked to step aside to have a gentleman behind us in line who was tired of waiting in the rain and literally on his phone placing an order to come forward to pay.

Seriously horrible management of a company and absolutely poor customer service.

There are many other amazing small businesses in North East that I would suggest to go and support during this time who continue to put their community first...

Nice Concept, Nice People, Fast Service, but food expensive and disappointing. You get what they are trying to do- we all want a place to run in and get quick slab- but they need tuning up. St Louis Ribs- tender on inside but you have to work hard to get there- thick skin semi burnt exterior. The brisket sandwich size of a slider (priced as full size sandwich) so if think you are going to get full, not going to happen, little meet too much bun. Ordered their side (pint- only filled 2/3rds) for $6! Fennel slaw with apples- could not find the apples, and nothing to taste dressing fairly non existent. Tried there wild rice krispy bar- burnt tasting wild rice. Perhaps when MN BBQ re-calibrates I may try again, but too much competition to spend $37! for a slider, half rack,...

11/10/2019 update: This is my last visit to this place. 32 dollars for 1.5 lb of brisket. We went today during lunch time and turned out they have limited menu and sells brisket on a 6oz incremental vs. per lb. Original review: This place have solid brisket. So far it’s the best on our list to fix Texas bbq craves. Everything else is reasonably priced. They don’t have a parking lot but street spots are not hard to find. They don’t sell beer either so make sure come prepared. There are several types of sauces and we’re all really tasty! Highly recommend this place for some quality brisket.

When I heard this place was closing its doors, I knew I had to try it once while I had the chance. Chicken legs, fries, brisket, ribs and a pastrami sandwich. Great smoky flavor in everything. Best pastrami sandwich I have ever had. The brisket was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The BBQ sauce was amazing. My order also came with an orange color sauce. I have no idea what that sauce was but it was delicious. My only regret is not trying this place sooner. Few can do BBQ this well!

The guys were very friendly, we talked about the establishment for a little bit. I was able to look inside the large smoker which was massive and amazing then I had a brisket sandwich and a cream soda. Everything was fantastic but to be honest I don't care for the pickles.😁 there's a bar and bar stools to sit inside for half a dozen people and two picnic tables outside for seasonal seating. Definitely a carry-out joint.
