Attached is a photo of the charges shown in my account. I’m writing this review because responsible managers need be aware of this issue and the manager I talk to last night that was a woman at 5:30pm at the uptown location was extremely rude because I called her Honey and apparently she’s discriminatory towards people from the south and how we talk 👍🏻 I informed her that making a mistake on someone’s card info was taking out multiple $20 dollar charges out of my card because the first girl that picked up the phone and ran my card kept trying to run it, it was telling her it was not going through but I was getting notifications from my bank actively showing me every charge and I have it on my bank account. I can afford this mistake a lot of people can’t and I explained this to the manager that seemed to want to be rude, triggered and completely unprofessional on solving the actual problem. I told her this is a huge business issue and to talk to whom ever is above her which she again completely ignored my advice and told me I should speak nicer to her when I explain to her all these issues, to talk to her manager about it and because I called her honey…. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, I currently do large customer sales and I own a cleaning business. Being told by someone this unregulated that I need to speak nicer when I was clearly agitated about the problem not being addressed on her behalf AT ALL warrants an unpleasant tone but through all my years in customer service being called honey isn’t something I’d tell a person would warrant to be this unprofessional towards. I was given A number, given this behavior not sure if it will be useful so I am writing this review for one of the “higher ups” to see because IF this issue with the system can be corrected it needs to be. This can really hurt peoples accounts that barely have any money for their bills like a lot of people in uptown and in general. This is uptown the place that people SHOULD be looking out for each other and this behavior was gross and not ok towards a customer trying to solve and issue for OUR community not just myself because this has actually happened to be BEFORE which I had notified the manager of as well. The manager suggested that I call my bank. I cannot tell my bank to reject those charges until after they have processed and pending they will be processed in pending for days before that gets rejected and kicks back into my account. So apparently your manager doesn’t understand how bank accounts work either. Someone that doesn’t understand basic knowledge of bank accounts or customer needs should NOT be a manager. Again, before any of this started I asked for them to notify someone higher up then them and they refused to even entertain that idea continuing to give me excuses which is why I said honey I’ve done what you’ve done and I work in business. Where I proceeded to explain how this can hurt customers, reduce business and needs to be resolved. Its mind blowing that I was treated like this for trying to fix a problem that effects customers.

Pretty decent place, great for a late night pizza run! Small dining area but I’m sure the patio will be nice once it opens for the season. I got a small bear pizza (yes I like it cut in squares) and my boyfriend got the Ruby Rae which in all honesty was absolutely fantastic. I myself am not a fan of raw tomatoes or tomatoes in general but it tasted amazing on this pizza. They put a generous amount of toppings and lots of cheese, huge plus. Theres chili flakes and Parmesan in shakers already on the table for you so you can put as much as you’d like. I’m only putting 4 stars for service, feel like my server never really came around, instead I had the host come to my table a few times. Had to wait about 15 mins after finishing for my server to come out and get us the check. She was sweet just not very attentive. Never offered a single refill even though both of our glasses were empty. Great pizza just not huge on service.

Ordered the vegan cheese toast online, with the options of lightly cooked or well done. Having gotten this order before many times, I prefer having the lightly cooked toast because the well done is too crunchy sometimes! When I received the toast, the cheese was not melted at all and the bread was barely cooked. Ive had this exact order many times without issue, so I called and talked to the assistant kitchen manager about it to see if I could figure out what was going on. The manager was rude and condescending about the order, telling me that that’s how the meal is supposed to be; when it’s never been an issue in the past for me (for reference, I got this same cheese toast lightly cooked with no issues earlier this week) Anyways, bottom line, the assistant manager at Uptown Pizza Lucé did not really handle the situation cordially and I felt ridiculed for not wanting an uncooked meal. Cheers!

My go to for pizza delivery; pizza, pasta, appetizers and desserts are all great! The gluten free stuff is just as great as the traditional. They serve big portions, great for leftovers making the price feel even more justifiable. They use their own site for delivery and their own employed drivers while offering free delivery! No silly apps, raised prices and sneaky fees. Rewards program online is great too!

When I lived elsewhere, I had quality service and food from both the Hopkins and Seward location many times as well. However, not all locations are equal. I won't ever order from the downtown one again (gave them a few chances only to be let down every time.) Uptown location is by far the best.

If you're in a Luce serviced location, or out and about near one; I'd absolutely recommend giving them a try. They've expanded so much over the years and they remain a local staple!

12/11/24 * 8 months later update because I can't submit a second positive review I still absolutely love this location, if not more now than before! They are the most thoughtful bunch of staff I've ever encountered. I had become a frequent customer due to broken appliances and life being busy. I often would call and add for alterations, extras or addons like veggies into pastas or certain things into salads, things I knew they had on hand just to mix up the options a bit. They were so flexible and kind, some even excited saying how good it sounded. Haha! Sometimes when I didn't call to ask; they would just add in the little extras I often would call and ask for on the side if able, a kind gesture. I love Uptown Luce as a go-to, no other place delivers fresh salads as good, at least not one that has their own drivers. The drivers are friendly and kind. Honestly, big props. Give this place your...

I order online very often but recently I came to dine in. I was buying food for myself and my SO. I asked for light sauce, and light banana peppers, and the new cup pepperonis, but I didn't think anything when they read my order back to me as banana peppers buffaluce sauce and pepperoni. When our pizzas came out my pizza had the old regular pepperonis, a hefty amount of sauce, and peppers were buried under the cheese just causing it to not cook fully underneath. I am very picky but I was still able to eat it so I did not say anything, but after leaving I can't help feeling dis satisfied. I was hungry so I ate as much as I could right away. But when I order pizza I know how it turns out when you cook it, so there is a reason I ask for less sauce and less peppers. Because if not it causes the dough to be almost undercooked and gritty, and it's just not enjoyable to me. If I'm paying to feed myself and someone else plus drinks I would like my own pizza to be good bottom line, I get a better experience when I spend less and order delivery for myself. This seems like a really easy mistake but at the same time, that's 3 things I said that were not written down, I'm not sure if they misheard me 3 times or if they just didn't think it was important in the first place. and when they read it back to me and I confirmed I didn't want to come back and say something, but I should have. Easy mistakes are still completely avoidable by being thorough...
