The good:

-First of all the crew was really nice and the location is great! -I like the music and atmosphere. The bar seating looking out to the street is cool. -The people working there were upbeat and let us stay past closing time without any problem (Not very common anywhere). -Prices are reasonable. -Tacos are small, but filling. -The variety and creativity in taco selection is the only real niche this place has and that's rare. -We tried 6 different tacos and the chips and queso. Our recommended choices are as follows ♡#5 Brisket Taco $3.25 The meat is tender and well shredded leading to nice even and juicy bites. ♡#10 Fried Chicken Taco $2.75 This combination of slaw, chipotle ranch, and chicken is superb. (Even if the chicken was dry) ♡Chips and Queso $3.25 The queso is THICK and delicious. The chips seem to have no added salt and are freshly crunchy. This was our favorite thing there. -The three sauces are well made and can add a nice kick or deepening of flavor to certain tacos.

The bad: -Parking at this location can be hard to come by. -Slower service during high volumes of customers. -The tortillas are so flimsy, they were ripping and falling apart. -The tortillas also have a strong smell of gum paste, it really had me wondering what they are made of since they claim to be vegetarian and G-free. -My chicken in my chicken taco was dry, like chewing on plastic "dry" (this may be because it was close to the end of the day but no matter the time of day your food should be consistent) -The ground beef is really under-seasoned and straight bland. Coupled with the strange tortillas, this just leaves a mushy pointless mess that I didn't enjoy. ! -My tacos had stray pieces of other ingredients in them that weren't supposed to be on them according to the descriptions. Sloppy prep line so anyone with certain food allergies should be careful! ! -And not a huge deal but they put a lot, like the entire garden, of cilantro on a couple of our tacos and as I am typing this that taste is still ruminating in my mouth. -Could not taste shrimp on the Baja shrimp taco.

The nitty-gritty: -My girlfriend and I were really unimpressed with the food but still had a good time here. The 3 stars was mostly for how awesome the crew was and the fact that we got food, feel full and aren't sick. Give it a shot you may...

I'm not sure if the people who have reviewed R taco have been going here for a while but this place has had a slow decline ever since buffalo wild wings took it over. I always like to give restaurants benefit of the doubt because I know what it's like to work in the service industry but this place is not my jam anymore. I used to love this place, the veggies tacos are nothing like I've had before plus there's a good amount of stuff on them. I went to R taco not even two weeks ago for what was formally known as taco Tuesday where you could get their tacos for $2-4, since I'm vegan I only get the #6 & #12 but tonight I went there & found out they discontinued it & put only one taco as a discount & it's a taco with meat & cheese. Also never call them at night because they won't answer. Having a diet such as mine, I specify my order every time to the person behind counter.. NO CHEESE. Not one but TWO times I got cheese on my tacos & one of those times I even got a pork taco, it was kind of unfortunate because I was on my work break & had to go back to correct it which took time outta my break. They also need to cook the veggies & tortillas longer. I've gotten raw veggies before which is unsettling when you want a cooked taco. I will say though, there is one woman (whose name I don't know) is so awesome, good at her job, accommodating & even...

If you are looking for fresh and tasty street tacos (they do offer flour tortillas if preferred over corn), they have great options. I got a fried chicken taco and a picadillo (beef) taco. Both were great. They cost a bit over $4 each. They offer three salsa options. I chose the “medium” heat red salsa. It is on the mild side of medium for sure. But very tasty. I ate in and I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes to get my order. I am so glad I chose to grab an order of chips and queso before leaving. The generous portion of chips are made to order and the queso is the best I can remember having.

The venue isn’t fancy. It has a utilitarian look - but I suspect that is because they put all of their time and resources into the food. I dined in and could easily do so with a group of friends or for an informal lunch with colleagues. It is clear that they do a lot of takeaway and catering business.

If you’re looking for a good taco, the Rusty Taco is a great option.

A couple of nice pluses include free parking in their small lot. They offer some outdoor tables on the...

Beats the tar out of a chain taco shop, it may not be the only location, but both the wide spectrum of the three primary meal 'seasons' of the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and artisan tacos most for under $3 earns the $ price tag. Come for a snack or a meal. The design is modern and unashamedly not authentica. It never claimed to be. Rusty Taco I do believe began as a food truck, but don't take my word for it. The branding is clean, good stuff, I like and appreciate it. It's definitely my style. The only detractor is the most busy screwy corner. Oh well. it's on the edge of E River Main, Hennipen, Central and 1st conjoin. The area is exploding with nearby all inclusive condo and associative integrative living apartments. What the new generation single and college tech savvy desire. I am sure Rusty Tacos will do just fine.
