Part 1. Worst experience at a Taco Bell I've ever had. I've eaten the Taco Bell Mexican Pizza for years & usually love them. I made the error of stopping at the East Lake Street location & ordered 2 at the drive-through. I waited until I was home to eat them (about 5 blocks away) & the first one tasted like someone had poured the contents of the grease trap on a taco shell. It was bitter & horrible tasting. I had my roommate try it & his response was the same; terrible tasting. He asked, "Is that what they're supposed to taste like?" Never in my experience have I ever ordered something from Taco Bell that tasted so wrong! So I tried the second one, hoping that perhaps it was just that one. No such luck. It too was just as horrible tasting. I tried calling the location 22 times to complain. Every time I got a "busy" signal. Now I will have to get dressed to go back to complain in person because unfortunately the cashier didn't bother to include a receipt with my catastrophic meal. Part 2. I returned to the scene of the attempted poisoning & asked to speak to the manager. I don't know if the guy was a manager or not, but he completely lacked any managerial skills. After I explained why I had returned he asked me what I wanted him to do. I asked him to tell me what he usually does in these situations. He stared at me blankly. I explained that I'd attempted calling the restaurant & the phone was busy 22 times. He continued to stare at me blankly. I took out my smart phone & read aloud the number in my call log. He acknowledged it was correct after I showed him my call log. He asked me what I wanted him to do about it as he listed my implied options, "Give you your money back, give you more food..." I said give me my money back & remake my food. He looked at me like I'd lost my mind then his expression returned to the zombie stare. A woman came out of the back & they conversed in Spanish for a while, as though I weren't there. Finally I realized that he wasn't going to make me an offer I told him that I would take it up with the corporate headquarters & returned home again with my little sack of tainted food. Now there's no way I would settle for simply the return of my money & replacement meals. Here's hoping I don't die in my sleep from...
Read moreI love Taco Bell. It's fairly priced and they give you more than enough bang for your buck. The food isn't gourmet but that's not the service Taco Bell claims to be. They are great when you need quick food and you need it for cheap.
Unfortunately this particular Taco Bell does not give what you pay for. I visit here frequently and about a third of the time have missing or wrong items. Today I bought some food from this store, some of which was two cheesy potato grillers. What I got instead of that was two tortillas filled with sour cream and chicken. Normally I don't bring up these mistakes as they often are not worth the time or bothering the employees, but today's order couldn't have been farther from what I paid for.
I called the store to ask if I could get a coupon or an in-store credit, something that as a previous general manager of a similar restaurant I would often provide customers with who received wrong orders. Initially the employee I spoke with answered the phone by simply saying "Taco Bell", and handed me off to someone else after not being able to communicate with me. I then explained the situation again and asked if I could get some sort of credit if they took my information, as I could not return to the store tonight. After being asked for the fourth or fifth time whether or not I could come in tonight, it was clear I would not be helped and I hung up.
After this ordeal I'm left with much less food than I paid for tonight, and out however many dollars I've spent on food I never got with this particular location in the past. It seems like I will be heading to another location next time I...
Read moreI usually go through the drive-through and never have had an issue. The other day I decided I’d order online and pick up inside instead. Online said it would be 5 minutes for it to be done witch is about how long it was gonna be to get there and I was hoping to just walk in grab the food and go but boy was I wrong. I got there at 1:40pm no one was at the counter nor was my food, I waited about 10-15 minutes before someone came out to see why I was there. I told them I here to get my order, they didn’t know where it was and it took about another 5 minutes for them to figure out they never even made it. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for them to make the food, while I waited 5 other people came in and they waited about 10 minutes as well before they where helped.
The customer service inside was bad, for fast Food that’s the longest I’ve ever had to wait for food. Who leaves the front unattended for extended periods of time? If I wasn’t so hungry and not in the mood to argue with the employee’s I would have demanded a refund and left. The foods always decent but I’m never gonna go inside again. Forget waiting 40 minutes inside for food when I can just go through the drive...
