We had to ask twice for waters and then our appetizer and entrees came out at the same time, like 5 minutes after ordering them.
We ordered 2 vegan juicy Lucy's, the cheese in the middle wasn't even melted and burger was still pink and not cooked very well. My broccoli was literally rotten and full of black slimey parts, and since our server wouldn't come to our table to check on us I had to ask another worker to get him to come to us and I asked for some new broccoli. A while later I had to ask my server for my new broccoli because he must have forgotten, when I got it that was also rotten and brown. He asked me if I wanted something else instead but at the point we just wanted to leave. He said he would take the broccoli off the bill. When the bill came we were still charged the $17 for the juicy lucy even though the $17 includes a side but I didn't get one. We didn't say anything because it felt like he didn't care and just wanted us to leave.
As a server myself I could never imagine treating my customers like this. I would be really apologetic if I served someone rotten food, he didn't say sorry or act like he cared at all. And he didn't even check the second order of broccoli to make sure it wasn't gross before bringing it to me. I know its not his fault the broccoli was like that but he didnt make any effort to make it better. I hate complaining at restaurants so we didn't say anything about the poor quality of the burgers, all I wanted was broccoli that wouldn't make me sick from eating it.
We normally love this place so I'm leaving two stars instead of one, but this was for sure a zero star experience. It actually made me really sad to feel so disregarded and unwanted there. It felt like everyone wanted us to just leave.
Probably won't be back due to...
Read moreThe main reason for my low rating is that the food was mediocre. Out of four in our group, three showed no particular enthusiasm even though we were all very hungry and one ate less than 10% of her vegan salmon dish. She said the sauce was too sweet for her. The server said that was strange because the sauce was not meant to be sweet at all. I thought maybe he would look into it to see if there was a mistake and/or not charge us for her's. To be fair, he did offer to bring her something else. In retrospect I wish I would have encouraged her to take him up on that offer.
I had the french dip(gf) and sweet potato waffle fries. The french dip was so-so and the sweet potato fries were too thin so you couldn't really taste the sweet potato, rather just the fry oil. I regret not getting the longfelllow burger which I heard was good.
We were originally seated on the front patio which was nice but after a couple minutes we all agreed something smelled like the inside of a dumpster and asked to be moved. The host was rather indifferent and did not seem too concerned about looking into what the smell was.
I originally thought the server was cool as he took orders from the three ladies I was with but then when he took my order he was suddenly very unenthusiastic. There were little things throughout the experience that felt like him subtly trying to punk me.
This was a beautiful May 31 evening at about 8:00pm 2025. Overall we actually had a great time and I wouldn't say this restaurant is terrible. I just think that restaurants in this price range can and should to do a lot better, especially...
Read moreI’ve been here at least 10 times and never had my socks knocked off. I’m not sure why I keep going back. They are always busy, the staff is always friendly and nice, but the food is just average and not worth it for the price.
This time we ordered brussels sprouts, which really lacked any depth of flavor since they were either boiled or steamed and not very warm. The toppings were very good on the brussels sprouts but just overall not that great because of the lack of flavor for the brussels sprouts. Felt like I was back in the 80s eating boiled brussels sprouts.
We ordered brisket nachos and we were delivered the first picture of nachos. We asked where the sour cream was? Bartender said they would bring us some. Five minutes later still no sour cream. So we tasted them and realized these were vegan “chorizo” nachos, not the beef brisket nachos we had ordered. There is no cheese on them, obviously as they were vegan.
I let the bartender know that we were in fact given the wrong nachos and a few minutes later a manager came over and agreed that these were the vegan nachos and that we were given the wrong ones. No apology, just annoyance
Maybe five to ten minutes later we got warmish brisket nachos with maybe a quarter teaspoon of queso at the bottom and a clump of browning guacamole on the top. 3/10
The Old Fashioned was VERY good. 8/10 rating
I’ll probably try one more time before I swear...
