This is a very hard thing for me, as I once loved this place. Came in on Saturday with my mom and sister. She decided to treat us. Being a vegetarian, I asked at the counter when ordering if the Yum penne sausage pasta could be made without sausage- as in meatless. She asked the kitchen and they said yes. So this is what I ordered. When my food came, I began eating it and realized how spicy it was. Then I noticed there was no ricotta on the dish anywhere. Just noodles, a chunky marinara and Parmesan. I asked the staff about the ricotta. She told me they do not have ricotta- - as in at all. When I pointed to the menu, and showed her my dish reads it comes with ricotta, she said let me go ask. She comes back to inform me that my dish doesn't come with ricotta. I pointed to the menu item once more and showed her it did. She went back to the kitchen and came back and said, thereās āricotta in your sauceā. That was a blatant lie. I know what sauce with ricotta looks and tastes like. This was fire roasted spicy chunky marinara. I said āokay. Well⦠I donāt see any ricotta here nor taste itā¦ā she gave me a smirk and said āokay! Enjoy!ā. And left. It was the rudest encounter Iāve ever had. The dish was awful, overly spicy, and not as advertised. If it had actually possessed ricotta perhaps the spice could have been mitigated. I like spicy food and this was practically inedible. The service staff member was incredibly rude, and honestly, after this horrid experience Iām not sure Iāll be back. I tried my best to just eat it, but left more than 3/4 on the plate and simply left when my family was done with theirs. The time before this encounter, we also had a strangely rude staff member arguing with us about our party of 6 taking up two small tables. This place has gone down. The quality is eroding. As a vegetarian, its hard enough to find menu options and decent fare at most places. Clearly, this wasnāt going to be one that could at least cook what they have and report on their menus themselves much less, having at least a little compassion and joy towards customers. Save your money, and go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTERRIBLE SERVCE On Sat, 9/11 at 7:10pm, the staff at Yum EPICALLY FAILED. Management needs to review the list of scheduled employees on this night, and RETRAIN/COACH ALL of them.
My three friends and I arrived to a 15-person line with apparently one cashier taking orders (male w/long black curly hair), and another one (tall female with brown shoulder-length hair) NOT beckoning customers to come to her. So we stood in line for 30min, as the singular cashier (male) took orders, while the female stared into the register and IGNORED the long line before her.
We finally arrived at the front of the line, and my friend asked the female at the other register if she had been available to take orders for the past 30 minutes - while all of us stood in line. She replied, āYes,ā without an apology or any expression of concern. IF she had any concern or sense of customer service skills, then she wouldāve offered to āhelp the next guestā to keep the line moving and reduce everyoneās aggravation. She should be removed front of the house, and relegated to the kitchen (if she even has any food preparation skills or interest) until she proves that she has ANY interpersonal skills to truly assist customers.
I ordered and paid for a slice of coconut cake, but waited over 5min for the male cashier to cut my slice - he was too distracted chatting with a co-worker idly standing nearby doing nothing. After he finally packaged my slice of cake to go, he rushed back to his register as I stood by it, and asked the man who was behind me if he ordered the slice of coconut cake. IF the male quickly sliced my cake, then he wouldāve recalled that I ordered it.
Again, ALL of your employees were unaware of efficiencient, conscientious customer service tonight and there was NO apparent manager in sight. Fix your location. Wish I could rate your service with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday we had our company cater through Yum! with their boxed lunches of a variety of different sandwiches. All of the sandwiches were great, especially the tarragon chicken salad and steak. Having such a good experience with catering, we decided to go on a work lunch in person at their Minnetonka location today. Unfortunately, our experience was not good this time around. First off, everyone that works at this location seems to be pretty unhappy and not friendly, from the cashiers, kitchen staff, and food runners. Not friendly and all very stoic in demeanor; this seemed to be a commonality with the whole staff. Interesting. Doesn't feel welcoming at all. Second, the food was not good. Two of us ordered the lemon chicken entree (which I've had in the past and was great) but both this time were not. The chicken had an odd taste to it and hardly had any meat on the bone...The skin was rubbery and didn't have that bright lemon flavor I remembered. Hardly got anything off the bone. The broccolini was okay but was undercooked. Mashed potatoes were cold. The salmon and beet salad were also very mediocre. They served it without any dressing, and we had to revisit the line to ask them for dressing...Strange they didn't ask if we wanted dressing upon ordering - small cut of salmon, some nice crunchy romaine, a decent number of beets, but the whole salad was still a bit underwhelming. The focaccia bread they serve with their soup and salads is not good. Tasted very stale. The best thing had was the gumbo. Nice large bowl of it served over some rice. Great flavor! The only problem once again was the temperature; lukewarm. Overall, I gave this review a higher rating due to our good experience with catering yesterday. Otherwise, it would have been knocked down...
