Cookie's Restaurant — Restaurant in Minooka

Terrible customer service. Has gone down hill tremendously since Covid. Our entire family used to pick up or dine in weekly but this establishment won’t be getting anymore of our money, support or referrals. Whichever female answers the phone needs fired yesterday. It’s been 1.5 years since we’ve ordered food from Cookies and we called tonight to see if they were doing take out orders (apparently it’s too much work to put food in boxes since Covid. We’ve tried a few times to order out and we’re always rudely told they’re not accepting to go orders or they pick up the phone and hang up) For whatever reason we decided to give them one final try tonight. Female answered the phone 4/19 at approximately 6:50pm and said she would check if they were doing take out orders, put the phone down and we could hear her going about her business the entire 9 minutes and 20 seconds we stayed on hold listening to her personal conversations. We called back, someone answered the phone (no greeting) and laid the phone back down again. Sorry, Keith. You guys must be doing really well to keep turning down business....

My hands been forced to re-review cookies Minooka. I came here after over a year of not being here and I must say EVERYTHING turned ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I ordered the steak and shrimp special, my wife the fillet. My steak was ABHORRENT AT BEST and for appetizers my wife got the fried onions and I got the frog legs. My wife never received her appetizer by the time the food came and the frog legs were absolutely BLAND. I sent the steak and shrimp back and I can honestly say the ONLY thing that had ANY flavor was the garlic dressing I had on my salad! I remember this place used to be AMAZING. I'm sorry but I work VERY hard for my money and I REFUSE to pay almost 40$ for steak and shrimp to take one bite of my meal. Not only that my wife had to ask 3 times and I had to ask twice for some A1! I dunno how the management runs their place but I seen MULTIPLE waitresses doing NOTHING while our waitress ran around like a chicken with her head cut off! I swear they REALLY need to reevaluate....

Stopped here for dinner based on a friends recommendation. Small family restaurant that had a Wisconsin supper club feel to it with wood on the walls. I had the filet and my wife had the prime rib. Both were ok but nothing special. Same type of plain food and menu you would get 30 years ago. Maybe that's why it had almost all elderly people dining there. Unfortunately due to the very bad service we received, we wont be back to try anything else. A young waitress came to the table and did not great us. Wife started the conversation with her. Never smiled until she brought the check at the end. After dinner I was looking around for her since she had not been back to the table for a while to see if we wanted desert or check or even more drinks. Finally saw her sitting down at a back table with her back to the restaurant b.s.ing with another girl her age. Waited for a while then ended up asking another waitress to go get her so we could pay the bill. Due yourself a favor and go...
