I wanted to get on and give a quick kudos to the staff currently working today. A little bit before 4pm, I came to order my drink (Strawberry Acai Refresher). I saw that the drive thru line was packed, so I opted to go in instead. I was greeted quickly by an amazing worker. I had a feeling it was her first day, so while she was taking my order I had asked her if it was her first day; she said yes, it was. After our transaction was completed, I let her know she did a great job and to keep up the good work.
Meanwhile, I could tell that the workers were frazzled and were getting slammed with drink orders, but they didn't stop any of them from giving the most efficient and courteous service. As I made my way to the other end of the counter, the one girl who was making the drinks, apologized and said it would be a little bit as she was the only one making the drinks. I told her to take her time and I wasn't in any hurry, and let her know that she was doing a great job.
In moments like these you have two choices: 1. To get angry and start taking it out on the workers; 2. Let them know that it is okay, and reassure them that they are doing a great job. I of course chose 2. We need to remember, when you go to an fast food or beverage establishment, these workers are people too. They are not robots or can help matters that are out of their control. So treat them with the respect that they deserve. Treat them how you would want to be treated; Or want your child, niece, nephew, or other working family member to be treated.
To the Manager of Starbucks in Minooka on Ridge - I wanted to let these you and your workers know to keep up the amazing work. They all should be very proud of the work they provided today, while understaffed. These workers did amazing, held their cool and still kept a friendly attitude and smile on their face while doing their job. You have a great set of workers here and should be very proud to have them as part of your team. Keep up...
Read moreI’ve been visiting this location for the past 4 months and I have NOT been disappointed, not even once! It has come to the point where the staff know me by name and know my drink. I stop here every morning, no days off! They are sincerely a big part of the start of my day. I look forward to stopping by every time! Whoever is managing this particular location has done an astounding job with their employees who without a doubt focus on Customer Service while delivering a product with a 0% error rate. Read moreDespite multiple employees making eye contact with me, none of them approached the window to do the courtesy of telling me they don't open for another 6 minutes. When I called out to one who kept walking near the drive thru window to ask if they were not yet open, she walked away. I can respect business hours, but when they change almost weekly at this location, the least they could do is have an employee simply say through the glass, "Hey sorry we're not open yet." The other day when this location couldn't open on time, they left a paper note on their drive-thru monitor. So it's not that they aren't aware their hours are iffy right now. It was just poor...
