Read moreI used to really like Dickey's BBQ. Today 1-20-2025 @ about 3:30-4:00pm My daughter and I decided let's go to Dickey's for late afternoon lunch. We walk in and there is nobody around. Pretty so a guy come walking from one of the tables by the far wall. He looks like, we interrupted his time on his phone. Runs his hands threw his hair, rubs his nose, and walks behind the counter to take our order. I'm watching, He never washes his hands but did put on a pair of gloves. And starts to make our order. Oh, he says, we are out of fries! We pay for the order. We don't get a receipt. I went to fill my glass with sweet tea and it looks like water? Very little tea in the sweet tea! Gross! Sit down to eat. My pulled pork sandwich is all cold and the meat is hard, dried out, chewy..... My beans are cold. Coleslaw is ok, but how do you mess that up. We were in your establishment for way over an hour visiting. That guy never came out of the back kitchen. The guy that changes out the rugs, came and left. Still nobody from the kitchen appears. I'm just wandering if he is still on his phone, Is he taking a nap. Should I come back and lock up the place. So so sad that this store USED to be so busy. So friendly. LOL We actually sat kinda in the dark at 4:00 in the afternoon! Get some people in this store/restaurant/establishment that actually care about the food, the customers,. This was such a sad experience...
Read moreI want to take a minute and share my experience from 8/16/16 at this location. I work In Stanley but live in Minot and I commute everyday. Sometimes when I get off late and don't make it back into town until really late, making dinner isn't really an option. I decided I really wanted some BBQ and headed right into this location and didn't realize it at the time, until I was standing in front of the door, that they closed at 9; I always thought it was 10. The time was 8:57 and I just realized I became "THAT guy", I don't typically go to an establishment right before close but I really wanted some damn Dickey's BBQ.
I was astonished by the quality of service I received walking in right at closing time. Each employee greeted me with a smile and a can-do attitude. They joked with me on my obsession of ya'lls coleslaw and just presented an amazing welcoming establishment.
I probably won't make the mistake of showing up right at closing time again (no promises) but now I know if I do, I'll be well taken care of.
Again, I just want to say thank you for being absolutely incredible and helpful when they could've easily chosen to roll their eyes and...
