MORE EDITS: Who ever you are you still don't get it. Good luck with keeping up with a restaurant business and responding publicly like this. I wish you no harm just wished you could have done better... I did not make a scene that is not my style “I begged” meaning I kindly asked the waiter to ask if we could just have plain pizzas for the kids. It was 10:30 and the restaurant was full. I was only hoping for a better outcome

EDIT 3

Thank you for adding your response back again. It proves this place is just not good enough. My husband was in the door before me with my son. Once again, you had the opportunity to do better yet you choose to still keep this response instead of apologizing. Going down to 1 Star !

EDIT 2 You deleted your kind response. No worries I have it here.

EDITED: yes we did come late but it was 10:20 my mistake, there was more than enough time to make a few pizzas. Kids were starving. I literally begged. The restaurant was full and a large table was available.

You clearly have no kids and have poor customer service, and you think banning me looks good on here. I’m sorry but that is not a good way to respond publicly.

I stand corrected, my husband walked in at 10:20 and by 10:30 everyone was standing inside and waiting to be seated.

I hope that anyone reading this knows that if this is their favorite place be there early or you will not be able to have dinner. Or be banned. That was a bit much specially because I do enjoy the restaurant but that’s ok I can live with that. You have to live with this on here.

I hope that whoever own this place reads this and works on improving the management skills of employees. If this is how management/owner or family owned take care of customers now that is something to stay away from.

We had dinner next door and the food was great and the customer service was 5 stars.

I don’t enjoy doing this but your response was out of line.

ORIGINAL COMMENT. Sad day today! I came here with a group of friends after a game with kids, walked in at 9:20 waited for a few minutes to be greeted then was told to wait again and then after 10 more minutes was told they would not be able to accommodate us because kitchen was closed. Kids were hungry and we just wanted pizza. Been coming here for about 12 years. Sorry you just lost a client and gained...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. The abysmal table service was the icing on the cake of an already miserable evening.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that something was amiss. The staff appeared disinterested and disengaged, and it didn't take long to understand why. As we were seated, we noticed several servers and even the manager huddled together at a nearby table, haphazardly devouring their own meals. It was as if our presence inconvenienced them, and our needs were an afterthought.

When we finally managed to flag down a server, they begrudgingly took our orders, but it was clear that their minds were elsewhere. Throughout the meal, we watched in disbelief as the staff continued to prioritize their lunch break over our dining experience. They chatted loudly amongst themselves, oblivious to the fact that we were waiting for our drinks and appetizers for what felt like an eternity.

As if the terrible service wasn't enough, the culmination of our misery came with dessert. We had ordered ice cream, and when it finally arrived, it was evident that it had been sitting in the freezer for far too long. The scoops were riddled with freezer burn, giving the dessert an unmistakably unpleasant taste and texture. It was a cruel and fitting metaphor for our entire dining experience.

In the end, we left the restaurant feeling not only disappointed but also disrespected. The staff's utter disregard for our needs and their blatant prioritization of their own lunch ruined what should have been a simple meal out. I can confidently say that I will never return to that establishment, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values decent service and...

I went to La Famiglia with my wife for the first time since I always walk by it after the gym. I didn't have a bad experience, but alot was left to be desired, mostly regarding food quality.

The service was OK. Our server was very friendly. I didn't get a water refill, and there were only three occupied tables, so I say good and not great b/c of small things like that.

The facilities were very clean.

The food wasn't so good. We ordered quite a few things, and I was underwhelmed by most of it. I ordered the stuffed shells. They didn't taste bad, but I'm not even kidding when I say I've had better out of a frozen bag from Sam's Club. They are DEFINITELY heat-n-serve shells. Disappointing when you go to an Italian restaurant. If I am wrong, then the chef has got some work to do. I also had a Chef's Salad which left alot to be desired. The ham on the Chef salad was lunchmeat (ala Oscar Meyer) rolled up and sliced. Again, this is a classy looking Italian cafe. 86 the ham sandwich and add a little prosciutto!

I would be upset, but the shells came with garlic rolls and a small salad for $8.50 . . . thus reinforcing the ongoing life lesson of "you get what you pay for." But in today's economy, when you treat yourself to dining out, you want the restaurant to create value, not serve something you could have made at home in quite literally 15 minutes.

Update: Nothing has changed. I decided to order a pizza and give it another go. This time I believe the proprietor (or manager?) took my order in person. I noted that I couldn't locate them on maps to call in the order. He asked me (more like grunted). . . to tell him . . . how to do that. You're a business owner. Figure it out. Wouldn't go back...

Was looking forward to great Italian food and was very disappointed. My mom’s friend ordered a seafood risotto and specified that she didn’t like clams and preferred something else like more shrimp but instead the dish had three shrimps and a bunch of calamari rings (super cheap ingredient) and tons of mussels (which she hated cause they are similar to clams). The waitress said they removed the clams but somehow didn’t think mussels were an issue. I ordered lasagna and had to force myself to finish the dish because it was so heavy on the ricotta cheese. Instead of making it with full size lasagna pasta in a single serve dish to maintain its shape, they cut the pasta into thirds and made a “wall” around the lasagna to keep its shape so it was a floppy mess with really hard dried pasta on the perimeter. Even thought the restaurant was huge, they sat the only three parties of customers in tables next to each other (terrible social distancing compliance). The garlic bread was super dense and cold. It was unfortunate since I love good bread especially with pasta dishes. Parking was free across the restaurant in a lot adjacent to city hall. Bathrooms were on the right of the entrance but I didn’t need to use it. Pricing was average but definitely not worth trying again. They did have pizza but I am afraid I won’t be coming back to try it. Tiramisu was ok, a bit too sweet for me since the mascarpone tasted like condensed milk (my mom hates milk) and it didn’t have any coffee taste, more like fudge and chocolate.

This authentic Italian restaurant is located in the Miramar Town Center, tucked in an up-and-coming area of east Miramar with new condos and small businesses currently under development. We had no trouble finding a space in the parking garage which is free. They are wheelchair accessible and have elevators with security cameras for safety. As we strolled inside, their personable server, Xander, warmly greeted us and said we could sit anywhere we desired. It was an early dinner and not yet busy. After taking our drink order, he soon brought over a large plate of garlic rolls that while not complimentary were nonetheless necessary! The rest of the evening went just as we had hoped—with a fare of pasta & fagioli soup, a mixed seafood pasta plate with mussels, shrimp, calamari and pasta, Caesar salads, chicken piccata cooked with a light lemon sauce and capers, colossal meatballs accompanied by linguine in marinara sauce, and the evening was topped off with one of the richest, most decadent tiramisu we’ve ever had—anywhere (strabuono)! This family-owned restaurant is eager to accommodate large parties but call-ahead is highly suggested. Incidentally, pizza is a specialty so they take orders online and over “il telefono.” My one regret is not having ordered sangria because I glanced over at a table for eight and that’s what they were all joyously drinking. God willing, we will return and do the same—toasting to everyone’s good health & prosperity!
