Pita Shop is a fantastic spot for fresh and flavorful Mediterranean food. They offer 100% halal options, including delicious vegetarian choices like hummus, baba ganoush, and tabbouleh—a big plus for those with dietary preferences. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a great place to dine in. The food is excellent, especially the fresh and well-prepared, the portion sizes are generous for the price, making it a great value. Uodate: Tried the chicken platter with lentil rice pilaf and yellow rice, Tahiti sauce, garlic sauce and a side of pita. As expected, the food was excellent! Next time will be Churasco Steak platter for me. Very pleased with the service and friendliness of employees.

Sorry for the late post. I visited this place back in September! Life has been so busy but I have to share about this place. We originally were on our way to take our friends visiting from Cuba to The Cuban Guys next door. I asked if they ever had mediterranean food. The answer was no so we walked into the Pita Shop. Now, I could eat mediterranean food every day! Everything here is made FRESH! I ordered chicken skewers with tabbouleh and cucumber salad. We ordered hummus as an appetizer. Wow, just wow! Some of the best hummus I've ever had! The food was so good! And the portions for the price were great! This is a little bit of a hike for me but worth the drive for some awesome food!

Good service. Respected all Covid-19 higiene recommendations regarding space and face mask wearing. Food is amazing, great variety and flavour. Staff is very helpful and attentive to customers needs. Price is affordable and average for the area. Parking is a bit limited but with patience there will always be a spot available as there are lots of take-out restaurants in the same building. It is a good place for a quick bite and have plenty of options. Highly recommended.

WARNING: Food botulism here. (Mirimar location of the Pita Shop)

My boyfriend and I had ordered take-out from this pita shop on several times. The first few times were okay, but I went with him because I was curious about the restaurant we were ordering from. When we entered, I could not stand the smell coming from the restaurant so I waited outside.

The next time we ordered for delivery. They got the order wrong and the driver did not speak English. When he finally arrived, my order (a pita platter) was a cold and indigestible pile of lamb. I ate a fair amount of it because I was hungry, but a few hours later I started vomiting violently.

I called The Pita Shop the next day to advise the owner of what happened and that their bad meat caused food poisoning.

Samir, the owner (who goes by a different name) was very rushed on the phone but offered to pay my hospital bill. When I told him I didn't go to the hospital, he then offered to give us dinner at no cost.

When we called to order the next time, I told the girl who answered the phone about the incident where I had gotten food poisoning and we placed our order. She took the order but in a few minutes called us back and said Samir would not keep his promise.

WE will NEVER EAT...

0 stars should be allowed. I will NEVER go back. I have been eating here since it opened. The manager today 5/30/2019 sucks and just lost my business and I will ensure to pass along what happened today to everyone in my office building the type of customer service (or lack of) he has provided.

I picked up a simple order Greek salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was completely burnt on the outside and chewy/raw in the inside. I called to let them know and he stared off by laughing as if he didn’t believe me instead of apologizing. He then said he will only believe me if I brought it back to him. I said I rather have a credit for wasting time driving back and forth and I’ve been going there for years with no problem and he didn’t care. He said he’d credit the chicken. When I told him the raw chicken touched the salad he said he’d only credit the $2.99. I guess he likes to serve salmonella with his salad.

I told him I won’t go back and he said “I don’t care” and that’s when I hung up on him. Word of mouth goes a long way. When this place gets shut down or fined by the health inspector I’ll make sure to celebrate. I will take this up with my credit card company to ensure this establishment does...

An embarrassment of a restaurant. Avoid at all costs.

The first red flag we had was that the entire restaurant was flooded with flies. We spent our entire waiting time swatting flies. Employees did not even acknowledge us doing this as they are probably used to this.

The fly problem got worse once the food came and we could not even eat in peace as a swarm of flies buzzed around our food viciously. Again the employees saw us swatting away the flies and did not accommodate us in any way.

Secondly, for how expensive the food is, the quality was really bad. The food did not taste at all Mediterranean and was really plain. For extra sauces, they also charge 0.50 + 3 cent tax. Yes they even tax you for extra sauces.

What is even worse is that they ask for tips before the food comes out and since I always tip well, i assumed the food would be satisfactory. So it sucks that I tipped well for such a poor experience.

Luckily we are not locals so we will probably never pass by again but it was so bad I hope no-one makes the same mistake as we did. Go...
