Apparently I can't leave another review, because I already left you a 5 star on my first visit, but here's an update, still 5 stars.
Today I was in the area and wanted something healthy because my tummy had the rumbles. It was busy when I walked in. There was another customer and her child waiting, people in the drive through, and they had mobile orders going. Everyone was busy.
I was acknowledged immediately and promptly assisted. They had a teammate come out of the back to assist me since everyone else was busy. I had a very short wait while my smoothie was being made.
While I was there, another person, who was a dasher, came in to pick up two orders. He wanted a drink carrier, but spoke in a quiet voice while the blenders were running. It was obvious nobody could hear him. He rudely asked one of the employees who was across the store cleaning to get him a drink carrier, instead of any of the other staff who were right there. On his way out, he said, "if you don't like your job you should quit."
He must have been talking to himself, because all of the employees were polite and kind and in a good mood, even after this grown man was acting like a child.

Read moreAs a former smoothie king employee, I speak with experience when I say this smoothie king is not ran as it should be (unless smoothie king has made some corporate changes).
I go to smoothie king probably 4 times a week and I order the same like 3 different smoothies and I customize them the same way EVERY. TIME. I have ordered in person and on the app and have never had a problem besides at this location.
I was told that you can’t sub dates for other fruits because they are considered a powder?? (even though on the menu IN PERSON and ONLINE shows that dates are a FRUIT) and I was told that you cannot sub almonds for fruit or peanut butter, even though it is categorized as the same thing on the menu as well.
BUT here is the crazy thing! I was told I can customize whatever I want however I want if I order it online, but I can’t do it in the store.
So I pulled out of the drive through, tried to order it at the counter, and then I ultimately ended standing inside the store and ordering it on the app.
And the employees were frustrated by my requests/questions. They were not friendly and were clearly upset.
Perhaps if the policies that don’t make any sense changed, the employees wouldn’t get frustrated by people trying to order.

Read moreHorrible service! I ordered online so that this would be quick. When I got to the drive thru I gave them my name and was told it would be ready for me at the window. After waiting 15 minutes in a VERY slow moving drive thru line, I got to the window and waited another 5 minutes before anyone even came to the window. When I said again that I had an online order, they disappeared for another 5 minutes only to return and ask me to pull forward because they couldn't find my ticket. I pulled forward, found the confirmation email, and went inside to show it to them. When I got inside they said they found the ticket, it just didn't print. Then it took them another ten minutes to actually make the smoothies! All together, I ended up getting my smoothie about 40 minutes after I placed the order. No apologies, no comped order. Jus horrible service. They made me late to class and my boyfriend late to work. I will never come back to...
