Before I review the restaurant, there's 2 reviewers below me (Mohammed and Sim) who both mention the same incident. I was sitting right next to this customer when the whole situation transpired.
The guy who wrote the review was the one cursing out the entire staff (he said he was there when they cussed out the customer because HE was the customer). I overheard the guy complaining that they had to wait 15 minutes for food (even though they told everyone it was a 20-30 minute wait because they are always VERY busy). The customer started yelling obscenities at everyone behind the counter, things so vulgar that I cannot write them in my review. He was so busy complaining about his order he did not realize the server had already delivered it to his table. The manager acted very professionally and calmly asked the customer to leave the store. He continued to scream and yell. Again, I heard the manager ask them to leave. At this point, I saw the guy come back outside, pickup ALL his food, and threw all of it at one of the servers. This was after the guy pushed his girlfriend out of the way.
Now, on to the restaurant. There's a GOOD reason that between google and yelp they have more than 1,000 5-star reviews (aside from the terrible people mentioned above who don't know how to behave in public). I come here once a week for lunch.
Pastries / desserts - ALL of them are made fresh daily. The best you will find in all of Southern California. Croisants are super fluffy, flaky, and buttery. Best I have had in my entire life.
Coffee - They have a wide selection of coffee and tea. It's made perfectly every time. During the summer, I'd get there cold brew coffee which was made every morning but now that it's cooler, I get an espresso. SO GOOD!
Breakfast - The La Complete is my favorite breakfast item there! Actually, it actually might be the avocado toast. Again, you can taste the quality in their ingredients. Everything is super fresh!
Lunch - Every "croisandwich" is SOOO good! It's their same house-made croisant but with different types of sandwiches inside! I've had every single wrong, you can't go wrong with any choice.
Staff - Quite possibly the nicest staff in world. The cashiers are always very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The head chef will come out and answer any questions you may have. And the owners are the NICEST people in the world. Full of smiles and very welcoming to everyone.
Custom Cakes - I got my wife's birthday from here and it was SO worth it. The flavor was incredible and the cake itself was very moist. They also customized the top with a beautiful message and the cake was very affordable.
I'd give this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me tell you something, folks - I've been to Paris. I've had croissants in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. I've sipped espresso while pretending to understand French poetry. But yesterday, I found ACTUAL French paradise without the 10-hour flight or the disgusted Parisian looks when I butchered the greeting "bonjour"!
Little France Coffee & Bakery is the kind of place that makes you wonder if you accidentally walked through a teleportation device. The moment you step in, you're greeted by Kousha, the owner, who brings a level of hospitality that makes you feel like royalty.
This man, originally from Iran, has the charisma of a movie star and the warmth of a perfect cup of coffee. He remembers your name, your order, and probably your birthday better than your own relatives do.
The breakfast croissant sandwich? MAGNIFICENT! (Thatās french). The flaky layers shatter like my dreams of ever fitting into skinny jeans again.
Each bite is a perfect harmony of buttery pastry, savory fillings, and whatever magical fairy dust they sprinkle in there. It's so good I almost saved it from being eaten.
And their 4 cheese melt should be illegal in at least 17 states. It's not just a sandwich; it's a transcendent cheese experience. The blend of cheeses melts together in a way that makes you question everything you thought you knew about dairy products. It's like the cheese gods got together, had a few drinks, and decided to create a baby.
And the DESSERTS! I tried one of their chocolate confections that apparently graces the tables of Hollywood's elite at the Oscars and Golden Globes. Let me paint a picture: imagine the most decadent chocolate dream you've ever had, multiply it by a thousand, add a sprinkle of "how is this even possible?" and you're getting close.
I'm not saying I licked the plate clean, but if anyone has security footage of that moment, I'm willing to pay handsomely for its destruction.
Five stars isn't enough. I would give this place all the stars in France if I could. Will I be back? Do the French hate Americans in Paris?
Little France Coffee & Bakery isn't just a place to eat; it's where memories are made and diets go to die gloriously. Kousha and his team have created something so special here that I'm considering moving into their storage closet just to be closer to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDear Little France Coffee & Bakery,
I cannot find a place on google map to reply to your detailed explanation of why the food and price are high, so Iām adding my additional feedback by using the editing function for this review and shared with you and other customers why I choose not to return to your bakery. I AM AWARE of the economics of our world going on. When you said my review leave no feedback but frustration, so are yours. And I am frustrated that your prices are not shown, and I have to ask the price of each dessert to your staff. My original feedback was very clear. Your products are pricey. As a customer, I have the right to speak up my mind. As a business owner, you need to understand there will be customers who like your products and some donāt. I will give you an additional feedback: continue to seek for growth on your artistry and taste.
Little France Coffee & Bakery, you were just upset that Iām not seeing your hard work of getting up at 2am and start your day. However, thatās how everyoneās life is like. We will not see other peopleās sweat behind the scene. Every artist spends a lot of time working off stage but for that 1 minute to present their show. In reality, audience will only see whatās on stage, just like your pastries, it is the products that youāre presenting neatly behind the glasses, but customers are being aware of the economy(according to your reminder) and will choose the products that fits the pricing that they agree with. I appreciate you replying to me. So Iām adding another star to this review. I wish you best of luck. I believe we will see each other again if your name is expanding.
Sincerely, Evelyn
Original post: Iāve been here two times a long time ago and I remember the pricing and food were not bad. After almost a year, Iām surprised that the quality of the desserts doesnāt match the price. I should have gone to Moulin. Compare to Moulin, everything is $1 or $2 more. And why the prices were not shown?! Guessing game with the customers?! The desserts werenāt even delicate. I should be tasting the unique tastes of different desserts, but thereās nothing only sugary taste. Got four desserts and spent $42. Never coming here again. Many people evaluated the place as great French vibe but it looked old and dark to me now. Very...
