DO NOT EAT HERE! My family used to come here frequently, but ever since the pandemic, they've raised their prices significantly. By itself, this wouldn't be a problem. I know how hard the pandemic has been on food businesses. But their portion sizes have become insultingly small, so much so that my dad made a comment about it to the owner. My dad's tone was not confrontational in the slightest. He did not demand more food, and in fact said it on our way out. But this guy starts yelling at him, "PORTION SIZES STILL THE SAME, SIR! PORTION SIZES STILL THE SAME!" When my dad tells him to calm down, the guy starts hurling curse words at him, and then at my younger brother and me. Please do not give this restaurant any business, at least until they get rid of this man. There are PLENTY of better Mediterranean restaurants, both price and flavor-wise. Go to Greek Bistro instead.

Chicken slouvaki + gyro meat plate: Chicken slouvaki: Delicious! Tender and flavorful! Gyro: tender, juicy, and flavorful! Greek lemon potatoes: very minimal seasoning. Because the potatoes are so large the flavor doesn't soak in. I dipped it in the tzakziki and Greek beans. Giant Greek beans: Wow these are good! Like a minestrone but more flavorful. Pita: Good. Soft and seems homemade? Greek fries: The fries are perfect! Thick, tender, and crunchy. The tzatziki is amazing.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The only thing I hate about surfin souvlaki is that it’s not in Utah. It’s ruined any hope of finding good greek food around me. When I come home for the holidays, a visit here takes priority over seeing some family members! It’s almost 1am and I’m sitting here just thinking about this place it’s that good. Big Fat Greek Gyro with fries and extra ziki sauce. My wife also loves their salad.

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could leave 0 stars, I would! I called ahead since I had never been here before. The man who answered the phone spoke so fast that I could not understand him. He then yelled at me and said to hold on. Wow! Then he came back on the phone a second time and asked me if I could hold again. Wow! I attempted to ask his cross street and he yelled at me again to hold on! Wow! I was put on hold again. I decided to not waste my time on the phone and hung up. I thought well maybe he was stressed out and busy so I went in person to order since I was craving Greek food. I waited again while this man was talking to some customers. He said "God Bless You" to them, which I thought was very nice at first, but did not sound sincere. I asked how long it would be since I had to go back to work. At first I got no answer, so I asked again. The other man came over and told me it would be 15 mins. to wait. There were no orders on the grill and no one in the restaurant at the time. I order to prepare chicken all the time and it never takes that long. I also make chicken and it doesn't take that long. He said twice unless you want raw chicken, then it will not be done right! And he said it very nasty! I said you have been rude to me on the phone and now in person, please give me my money back. He then threw my money at me! These people are clearly looking for a fight! These people need to learn the true meaning of customer service, learn some manners, and come down from their high horse! DO NOT...

Food is excellent! That being said, the people who work here, especially the owner, act like they would rather have a knife between the eyes than work a minute in customer service. I have been to this location a couple dozen times at this point and the moment you enter, you are treated as an inconvenience. Condescending would be the best way to describe the staff. Changing my review to 1-star now that I have realized my experience is common at the restaurant. Note the bitter and antagonist replies to valid negative criticism and that the majority of reviews in recent months are negative, citing the bad attitudes and service. If you care about how you’re treated as a customer, go to Forte Mediterranean Bistro in Ladera. Otherwise it’s a very good spot for food.

Editing this to respond to the owner response: The employee who is most commonly disrespectful is the muscular, tattooed one who seems to be a veteran. I have had employees, like him, challenge me on what I ordered, despite my receipt showing it. I have been shoo'd out of your establishment while trying to fill a drink that came with my meal. When I stated that I was simply filling up my drink a few seconds after I picked up my order, an employee told me to hurry or leave. These are a few of the many negative experiences I dealt with for the sake of good, convenient food. However, the antagonistic attitude from staff and in these reviews have proven that it is worth it to drive a few extra minutes to be treated as a...

I went years ago and had completely rude arrogant behavior and attitude from the owner. Many many (7-10?) years later went again because I live close now, thought maybe people change, and I like to support local businesses. I was met with a "could care less for my business" attitude by both the owner and the person who served my food. As if I was bothering them by ordering. I was having a rough day and purposely attempted to be extra friendly to let bygones be bygones and try and have a good experience. Wish I'd gone somewhere they actually look at their smiling customer and answer them. (They weren't busy and there was no line.) The gyro was ok but not worth the atmosphere. If you don't like people please don't have a public-facing business. As you can tell by my reviews I give glowing reviews everywhere I go but had to review that nothing had changed in all these years - I still don't recommend it there are plenty of other amazing restaurants that believe in hospitality. Life is hard and you never know what people are going through, be kind, especially if they may be treating themselves to...
