THIS is Petal’s “best kept secret”! Drive two miles past the newer strip of low quality fast food (& one local popular dine in that starts with an “S”, which is sadly too expensive for small low quality eats), and be amazed! I just ordered my small family’s dinner there, and it did NOT disappoint! The burgers are phenomenal, the extra toppings are affordable (even with out paying extra, you can get your burger FULLY loaded), the onion rings are pristine! I ordered a double patty burger with American and pepperjack, a single patty burger with same cheeses, and a 5 pc chicken tender meal (all had either onion rings or fries) with drinks. The size and taste/quality of the tenders beats out ANY fast food popular chicken food chain…hands down! Downside, the fries were not the greatest and the sodas were pretty much out of the syrup mix- more carbonated water than flavor. But the sweet tea was incredible! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was relaxing and friendly (families or friends), and the service members were extra considerate! If you pass them up,...
Read moreIve heard a lot of praise and good things about the restaurant and decided to finally give it a try. The atmosphere when you walk in is very inviting and is very spacious. The server help was pretty standerd nothing exceptional but standerd service. I decided to get the pulled pork and my friend got a burger both with fries to go. Came out to $30 which was decently pricey for a basic food establishment so expectations were already a little high to get some good quality. When we got home to eat our food can immediately tell it was going to not be great. The fries we both got were soggy and just tasted nothing of frying oil, no salt at all. My pulled pork sandwich was bland as well and was dry and can tell was not fresh. Her burger was the same case just bland and overcooked. Not a great first experience which really sucks since petal needs local restaurants to do well. Hopefully it was just a bad day maybe will give them...
Read morePros - food came out fast, it was hot, fresh, and tasted very good. Service at the counter was friendly and quick. The place looked clean and the young lady at the counter was clearing tables as soon as the guests left.
Cons - they have a ventilation issue! Place is hazy with grease and grill smoke, my wifes eyes were watering through the entire meal. The A/C must not work well, it is 76 degrees in there. That combined with the ventilation issue makes for an unenjoyable dining experience. They don’t have an actual kids burger…….its a patty with no bun…..What The Heck? For these three reasons alone my wife said we will not go back.
3 entrees, one appetizer, one beer, and a base tip was $68. They will charge you for cheese and then charge you 3.5% for using...
