Waitresses were more interested at Yelling across the restaurant to each other than taking care of customers, I was asked for my drink order three different times because the waitress couldn’t write it down and couldn’t remember an order of black coffee, waited 10 minutes for a simple hot chocolate to come out of the kitchen, and the waitress had to come back and ask whether it was a mocha or a hot chocolate two minutes after she took the order. My coffee was never refilled, nor was there an offer of a refill on my black coffee until they literally brought the check. And then, after receiving less than stellar service, when they saw that I wasn’t tipping on my credit card was actually verbally scoffed at with expectation by the waitress who was processing the card To the point where it made my wife uncomfortable, and she had to tell them that there was a tip on the table. Had I known their behavior would continue to be so abhorrent towards their customers I wouldn’t have bothered to leave a cash tip either. Unfortunately, the food is great, but the atmosphere is about as good as an outhouse in summer festival season. As a Missoula native and longtime liquid planet customer, won’t be spending any more money with that business, Or any of their...
Read moreThe wait for seating was fine, about 15 minutes was all so getting seated was pretty quick. The food took forever to come out. 30 minutes after our order, simply for pancakes and crispy potatoes was way too long of a wait. For being a coffee shop related restaurant, the coffee was terrible and came out mildly warm. We got kids menus for our kids and they didn't give out any crayons so we had to ask, not a big deal but just very unorganized. Even though we set up a reservation they seemed to have lost it and had to come ask us. Again they were a little unorganized. The server had zero personality and he was pretty inattentive. After finally getting our food we didn't see the guy again until we needed to pay for our meal. Our impression was "this place is absolutely terrible". Food was mostly awful. Pancakes were fine. Over easy eggs were floating in butter and bland. The crispy potatoes were literally something that came out of a bag from Albertsons as pre seasoned potato cubes and definitely not crispy. Omelets were bland and over cooked. The carrot cake pancakes had way too much cinnamon and nutmeg. If i could give this zero stars I would. Highly recommend not...
Read moreSo we have been coming here since they opened. This used to be a 5 star place. It started as a wonderfully unique breakfast. Cheese grits (only place in town for delicious grits), elk sausage patties, elk sausage gravy, carrot cake pancakes and steak and eggs and even the fresh fruit cup have fallen off the menu as of this week. First it was the grits, then the steak and eggs, and now the elk sausage and carrot cake pancakes are all gone. They even used to have homemade jam, now replaced with Smuckers packages. Now this "luxury diner" is on par with the rest of the diners in town. Nothing sets it apart from Ruby's and at least Paul's has sourdough pancakes. Now the wait staff, hosts and cooks have all been fantastic any mistakes are corrected promptly and we have always been greeted with a smile. They also have a great veterans discount which has made this our only breakfast place since opening. Wondering if it is still worth it though with the lack of unique and wonderful menu...
