Crawfish N More — Restaurant in Missouri City

So I haven’t been here in quite some time. In fact I think when i was here last the place had a different owner and possibly a slightly different name. But anyway, I’ll never come back to this place again after this experience!

When i used to come here awhile back, i usually got the fried shrimp which was really good because the shrimp were big and well seasoned, however this time i ordered a 2 pc tilapia with a side of hush puppies togo. Didn’t take long to get my order but something told me to check my bag before i left… i was incredibly disappointed and honestly should have made them fix me a new order but i was tired and it was kinda late so yall know how that goes at times.

So i open the styrofoam box to find these overcooked hush puppies and 1.5 pieces of tilapia! I didn’t fully notice one was only half a piece because i wasn’t trying to touch the food yet so how it was laying I couldn’t tell it was only half. So i return to the counter and speak to one of the young ladies and ask her “are yall fried fish pieces usually this dawg gone small”… she says yes, especially the tilapia pieces… 🙄… she apologized and i went home because i was just getting done with work. I get home and realize that the pieces are not only small in size but also very skimpy and kinda frail like and that when i finally realized one piece of the 2nd tilapia was missing! So i really only got a piece and a half.

I was willing to be more forgiving if the taste was there like I’ve experienced in the past but it absolutely was not! It was fairly bland and again the hush puppies were overcooked… they did have a decent flavor but that was hard to really appreciate since they weren’t cooked properly.

I should have went to the seafood place I started to go to at first because they are very good but i came here because this place is closer to where i live.

What a disappointment! $8 for this is a criminal! Yall can do better than this! I dont know if it was because it was kinda late (8pm) that yall decided to just give me whatever but you dang sure wont get...

Been to this place roughly 15 times in past 2-3 mos. Mainly go for crawfish but have been pleasantly surprised with the rest of their very limited menu. I'm not going so much anymore because the crawfish are getting smaller and smaller with no reduction in price while it's the actual opposite for competitors. Also, I'm certain the way the crawfish are prepared has changed but when I asked after maybe my 10th visit, I was responded to as if I was imagining what I ate & how my food was prepared the 9 prior times I'd been there. They were definitely using some concocted butter sauce that was used to smother the crawfish in, which btw was delicious. But all of a sudden they weren't bathing the crawfish in this "sauce" anymore. Now, the crawfish are served in just the butter and garlic & spiced to your liking. The levels in spice is not even the same, so I've finally decided not to go there anymore. This "sauce" they served the crawfish in was the very thing that made this place stand out from the rest for me. But when I asked about if or why they stopped using it, I was treated as though I was confused and told they've been making them the same way for however long....Absolutely not true and I honestly didn't appreciate the inability to simply admit they stopped using the "sauce" for one reason or another. I would've even appreciated if they offered to still include it but for an extra price. Nonetheless, the "sauce" is no more, so this again gives me no reason to drive 25 minutes away to have their increasingly smaller crawfish that now tastes no different from anyone else's and are priced more than everywhere else. I'll go back to driving just 8 minutes away to Sam's boat for their much bigger, tasty, and now lower priced crawfish. And btw, they do still offer the "butter sauce" as a dipping sauce for an extra fee. They just don't bathe the crawfish in it anymore, even though they'll have me believe they never did. The insult to my intelligence alone, was quite disrespectful as well, which made it easier for me to decide...

This place used to be always busy. The value was great. In my opinion it was never a 5 but a mid 4. We frequently this place many times. Unfortunately the last two were not good experiences. I come from the rest background and don’t like to give bad reviews because I know not every day is a good day. However the last two visits were consistently below it used to be. Prices went up but not all the menus were marked. We have different prices. I understand everything went up but don’t be cheap. Either raise prices all over and make new menus which is not a bad thing as the existing ones are in bad shape or minimize the amount of food. Quality of food is average. Attention to customer service is below acceptable. Service staff were friendly but not paying attention to customers. Bathrooms is a hit or miss although most of the times are not clean. I won’t let my kids use the bathrooms there. The rest has potential. It used to be great. I’m not sure if new owners or new managers but it definitely has come down. It my opinion my last two visits were a 2 but don’t want to give so low score because in the past was a 4 so I avg it. I hope they correct their mistakes soon before it is too late. There is a lot of rest competition in the area so people can easily choose other places. Unfortunately I or my family won’t be back any time soon.
