I visited Dunkin' on 10/15/23 at approximately 10 AM. I've never been to a Dunkin' before believe it or not so it took me a bit to order what I wanted to eat for breakfast as well as the coffee because I'm not really a coffee kind of guy, but regardless I wanted to try it out.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a sourdough bun and a dark roast coffee and it wasn't bad, but as I sat at my table, I had a direct view of the front counter and there was a bald headed employee (that wore what appeared to be prescription glasses on his forehead) that was filling some of the orders for dine-in customers as well as drive-thru customers.
He would get a piece of wax paper out (presumably used for sanitary reasons because it places a layer of protection between the food items and the employee's bare fingers) and he would pick up each food item with the wax paper in hand, but he would not use the wax paper property. He was still touching each food item with his bare fingers including his thumb. Some of the items were hard to pick up so he would just use his bare fingers. So basically each customer got their food items with a side of DNA. YUK!!!!
This guy would touch his face constantly and yet he would then touch the food items with his bare fingers. Are people not noticing that? Do they even care?
I then saw another employee use a latex glove to pick up the food items and I think that's the best way to do it because it's hard to pick stuff up by manipulating a piece of paper (kudos to that employee - he’s also the one that waited on me). Either wear a glove, or get tongs, but the way it's currently being done is unacceptable because it's not working.
Sometimes I would also see them put the piece of wax paper they used to pick up the food items in the bag along with the food items so they have completely defeated the purpose of attempting to be sanitary.
I was actually thinking of getting some Donuts or doughnut holes after eating my breakfast sandwich, but after seeing what I saw, I decided against it.
Well as for me, this was my first and last time going to this...
Read moreWhere can I start my goodness this is the worst Dunkin ever. I only go there out of convenience and every time I go there, I’ve had a bad experience I mean, where is the managers who is training these kids each week is some new employee who doesn’t know what they’re doing. I can’t remember the last time I had a coffee that was made right, and then today my coffee is horrible and you know it’s not cheap right? In this economy, you can be messing up like this . I bought a mocha latte. This is not cheap. You are playing with people’s money and that’s not funny. donuts are always out by 10 AM. This is a doughnut place and you’re running out of donuts. Why don’t you just shut down if you can’t do the right thing by your customers? I am not upset at the employees I feel that the management needs a lot of work because it’s not working. I mean every time I’m there. It’s always someone complaining bringing their drink inside bringing their food inside complaining about something get it together ASAP because one of these days, you will not have any customers again. Another time I saw the employee hitting another employee whether is for jokes or not that was very unprofessional because it’s clearly look like the guy was a bit hurt. They also don’t greet you. You stand there for 5 to 10 minutes. It’s just ridiculous just for them to tell you they ran out of everything OK I’m here for almost 30 minutes cause I’m stuck in the middle of the other cars and you’re telling me that you don’t have a donuts you don’t have the drinks Telling people in advance would help get it together. What is going on? Is...
Read moreNeedless to say I was mostly dissatisfied with my visit. And this is a first for me with this chain. The drive thru line was very long, so I thought I’d be smart and walk in because there were only two other parked cars. 30 minutes later was when I walked back out….and all I ordered was a regular decaf coffee and snackin bacon. I waited for about 5 minutes just standing at the counter before any one acknowledged me and proceeded to take my order. It was the guy working the drive-thru and I think he just felt bad that I was standing there unattended because there was no shortage of cars at the drive-thru. Maybe about 10 minutes after placing my order do I finally get my regular decaf coffee (nothing special). A few moments after that someone is shouting out a pickup order for a snackin bacon sandwich. I’m the only one waiting so I approached with my receipt to realize I was rang up for the sandwich and not the side item. It got really convoluted at this point as the manager said she’d refund me the sandwich and ring me back up for the bacon … except I didn’t have my physical card because I tapped to pay but she could not process a refund without my physical card. I finally suggested she just refund me in cash and then re-ring me up….she did but with hesitation. To keep this wayward visit theme going — I got the tiniest side of bacon. I order this all the time at other locations and have never received such a poor portion. But the win because I was over it after being in there for so long for what I hoped would be quick :-( If there’s another location on your route, pass...
