Disappointed in Taco Bell.
Recently my husband went to Taco Bell to purchase some gift cards at the location at 4320 Butler Hill, St. Louis, Missouri.
There was a sign that indicated for every $10 you spend in gift cards you received 1 free taco. There was no specification on the amount of actual cards that needed to be purchased. He purchased $30 worth of gift cards and expected 3 tacos. No big deal!
When the clerk checked him out there was no mention of the tacos. He brought it up and the clerk told him he only gets 2 tacos because there were only 2 gift cards. After speaking with the on duty manager he learned that the limit was 5 tacos no matter how many cards were purchased but they would only give him 2 tacos for his transaction.
They ended the transaction by shoving the 2 tacos at him, telling him he’s only getting 2 and that was that.
The whole thing is ridiculous that 1 taco is the issue. It’s really the principle. Educate your staff properly and get everyone on the same page as far as promotions.
The thing that disappointed us even more is that after sending an email to corporate we received NO RESPONSE. Nothing. No thanks for letting us know, no apologies, nothing.

When I called the store to let them know, the manager said that if I come pick up the order myself that I could get the rest of my order and when I said I shouldn’t have to do that because I paid for delivery. She informed me that there were only 3 staff members working and 2 of them making food. I stated that was NOT an excuse to not only forget half an order but also not make the food correctly. And then after asking for a refund, she stated because I ordered through “DoorDash” (when I used the Taco Bell app) that she could not do anything about doing a refund. To which i hung up because the audacity from the beginning was astonishing coming from the manager of this establishment. I have never once heard a business say that because the order was wrong was due to short staff. Unbelievable, will not be ordering from this location again no matter what. And I would beware if I were you, whether you order through the app, DoorDash or going and pick up your food, apparently according to the manager, if they are short staffed with 3 people working, that means that can justify why your order was missing items or the food was...
Read moreI've gone to this tacobell for years only because its close and almost everytime I do there's something going on, they either take forever or its ridiculously busy. All the workers seem like they hate their jobs and want to be anywhere but there, it seems as some are even mistreated too. I've occasionally seen a worker struggling and they'll just be blatantly ignored, some of the managers I've seen here are ok but recently there's been a manager I've seen thats always yelling at her workers and seems extremely hostile and unprofessional. Don't get me started on the food, sometimes the chips are bland or looks like they were cooked in dirty oil, and they will forget food or throw it together so poorly that my hard tacos are often broken to the point I might as well have ordered a taco salad. Not to mention that half of their 5 star reviews are obviously spam...
