Do not waist you time or money. And prepare to be treated in a extremely rude manner if you dare to try it. Did you know that the Cattelmens club in Pierre SD also ownes the Cattelmens club in Mitchell SD. And the owners son is the Manager in Mitchell. I tell you all this because of the horriable experience we had there tonight. I checked the time on our travel App. Life 360 and we got there at 7 and left at 9:30. After my son getting the wrong steak, my grandson's cheese not even being melted on his grilled cheese. I got cold prime rib not once but twice and was told it is suppose to be cold. I sent it back with one tiny bite out of it and told her to forget it. No scene , but when the bill came the waitress told me sorry you have to pay for it even though you did not eat it. I demanded to speak to the Manager who looked 16 and he came to the table with a smirk on his face and said sorry I can not do anything we tried to fix it. Well sorry son after we have been hear for 2 hr and you keep messing up I am not going to ask you to fix something for the 4th time. He sat there and argued with me in front of all the customers. I finely asked for the owners number. He tells me fine and comes back with a number but tells me I might want to wait to call it. It did not look like a Pierre number so I called it right there. It went to some kids voice mail. I then googled the Pierre restraunt and that's when I found out the punk gave me his number not the maneger/owner in Pierre. ( who is his Mom) By this time when I get her on the phone half the restraunts is listening to me talk to her on the phone. Out of the kindness of my heart I told her I would go talk to her in the entryway so her other customers did not have to hear all this. She thanked me. Well it ends with her asking me to put her son on my cell phone, him taking our phone back to his office and him coming back and taking 10 percent off our 118.00 bill. Well that means I paid 9.00 for my salad and cup of soup. I gave up at that point and just paid it. The only good part of the whole thing was when the owner asked to talk to her son he was standing at the bar with all his employee gathered around him all with there teeny bopper smirks. I said very loudly to him your mom is on the phone and she would like to talk to you. Don't give me a fake number and think I am not going to tell evryone your A Mommy's boy and was trying to show off instead of make your restraunts a...

UPDATE
I stand behind my original post, besides the wood shavings. The bar is nice, but the tables and booths again remind me of a legion hall from the 80s or 90s. For a prestigious CLUB, it looks trashy. The gal who helped me was polite and courteous, clearly unlike the owner.
P.s. the burger did LOOK good, but nothing paired well together.
P.p.s. because of this interaction with the "Owner," I am changing my rating to 1 star
Enjoy!!! *
ORIGINAL POST This was my first time in Cattleman, and for a "Club," the place was very, very disappointing. As I walked in, I felt like I was in a legion club from the 90s. The wood shavings on the floor have been done before and should definitely be left where it started. The whole place looked trashy. Reminds me of The Jackpot turned into The Back 40, which only looked more trashy. Zero originality and the same with the execution. (No wonder why it's closed...)
I tried the Burger for the Battle, Hawaiian Spice and left a review for that, too. It's not much better than the restaurant, sadly. My first time here is January 29th, 2025, and my last.
Oh, the burger was very well priced. The best thing about it, sadly. (It was takeout, and I'm happy I didn't have to...

Calling all food enthusiasts and adventurers passing through Mitchell, SD! If you're in the mood for some unintentional laughs, mouthwatering steaks, and an atmosphere that oozes rustic charm, then buckle up for a review that'll have you craving a visit to Cattleman's Club!
Let's dive right in, shall we? Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by a hardworking and fun server who made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. We shared a good laugh about our earlier encounter with the not-so-corn-palace, solidifying that Cattleman's Club was the perfect place to unwind and replenish our energy. 🤣✨
Now, let's talk appetizers! We couldn't resist ordering the fried mushroom delight that melted in our mouths with every crispy bite. It was a delightful prelude to our main course adventure. Oh, and let's not forget the starter salad, which turned out to be a table-top salad bar extravaganza! We assembled our dream salads, adding toppings like mad scientists of greens. Talk about personalization !🍄🥗
When it came time to choose our main dishes, my friend went for the Prime rib and was absolutely thrilled with her choice. The tender, succulent meat left her taste buds dancing with joy. As for me, I ventured into the realm of breaded walleye, and while it wasn't the most mind-blowing walleye I've ever had, it definitely hit the spot. Decent, satisfying, and enough to keep me happy on our journey. 🍖🐟
Speaking of happy surprises, let's take a moment to appreciate Cattleman's Club's scotch list/menu. Whiskey lovers, rejoice! They had an impressive selection that would make any connoisseur weak in the knees. So, if you fancy a smooth, smoky sip to accompany your meal, this place has got you covered. 🥃😍
Now, let's set the scene: with sawdust on the floor, adding a touch of rustic charm that just screams "Welcome to the Old West!" It was heartwarming to see so many couples on romantic dates and families happily enjoying a...
