This was our second visit. We came back because it was so awesome, from the service to the food and everything else. This time was a huge disappointment. We knew exactly what we wanted so we put our entire order in at the same time. This was a big mistake. We waited what seemed like forever for our drinks to arrive they were brought at the same time as our bread and appetizer. The appetizer was followed within less than 2 minutes by salad and our entrees followed in less than 5 more minutes. Needless to say, we didn't have time to begin a course, much less finish it before the next was brought. My wife's chicken parm was not a traditional chicken parm but some kind of concoction with grilled chicken and Alfredo sauce, (which she cannot stand) and no bed of pasta as is traditional for chicken parm. The menu DID NOT specify that it was a white sauce and listed it as parmesan sauce which we assumed to be the traditional sauce for chicken parm. Oops (please add a description to the menu). My ribeye was ordered medium rare and was served BLUE. It was charred on the outside but totally raw on the inside (see pics). At that point we were done. We asked to speak to the manager. When he finally got to our table his face dropped as he saw my steak, before he could even introduce himself. I explained all the issues to him and to his credit he waived our bill. Personally, I don't think he even knew how to handle the situation because everything was so screwed up, and I don't feel like he did anything at all to keep our business. It was almost as if he didn't care that we'd had such a bad experience or if we'd give them an opportunity to get it right. Maybe he was just in shock. Anyway, we won't be going back.

I had lunch with coworkers at Briquettes on Schillinger. I’ve had Briquettes before but I am not sure what I had. Perusing the menu I knew I wanted steak but had to narrow it down. The decision came down to the number of sides. The chopped steak I believe came with 2 sides. I decided to go with the macaroni and cheese casserole and the strawberry side salad. Before we ordered our food, the table decided on some appetizers. The 3 choices we decided on were the fried green tomatoes with Cajun cream sauce, Artichoke Spinach dip, and Asian Almond Shrimp. All 3 were pretty good but my absolute favorite was the Asian Almond Shrimp. I think I could’ve eaten that for a main meal. My strawberry side salad arrived first. I want to say it was probably the most beautiful salad I’d ever seen. It had tangerines in addition to the strawberries. It also had some glazed walnuts that I think had a hint of cinnamon on them. There was also the vinaigrette that added the final touch to the salad. The chopped steak and macaroni and cheese casserole came out soon after I was finished with the salad. The casserole was good. I don’t remember much about it because I pretty much ate it as quickly as possible. The chopped steak I took time with. The flavor was plentiful. I loved the gravy with the onions and mushrooms. It really brought out the taste of the steak. The steak was really juicy and cooked to my liking. I really enjoyed this meal. As far as the service goes, the place was busy for lunch. Although it was busy we didn’t experience any long wait times with the food. I don’t remember the waitress name but she was very helpful.

A really nice place to eat steak served right. I ordered the12 ounce Rib eye with a side salad and baked potato. The meal came with 3 yeast rolls that were good but not anything special. The salad was fresh and tasty and the blue cheese dressing was on point. The star of the meal was the steak but don't overlook the potato. It was prepared correctly where they pierced the skin to allow the steam to escape and leaving you with a fluffy, perfectly prepared baked potato. The steak was perfectly marbled and lightly seasoned. Too often steak houses double up on the salt to hide the fact that their meat lacks flavor. This steak was allowed to shine while showing its char. Ordered medium rare, the steak came to the table on the rare side with a good char. The slightly undercooking was on purpose as they knew the steak would continue to cook on the plate leaving me still a perfect medium rare last bite. The staff was friendly and attentive, checking on me often. This place blows Outback, longhorns and all the Roadhouses out of the water.

I enjoy eating here. I am a very negative person so when I do not have much to say it says a lot. They usually have 2 hosts at night which makes it easier for smooth operations. The host clears tables for the servers and one stay behind to sit people. I did notice alternating between the two. One of the issues though I do notice almost each time is that they do not communicate a new person at a table to the server which sometimes I sit around 5 minutes and once almost ten to be greeted. The food is pretty good only thing I do not like is the macaroni. The Macaroni is bland due to the cheese they use. The steak is great as long as you make it clear it will be sent back if not as you specify bc I like mine med well and a lot of places like o charleys on airport overlooks it every single time but only once has this place over cooked it out of the ten I been there so far a great record. They have a decent selection alcohol. I order a long island normally and their recipe is rather sweet like I like so no issues on there drinks that I've seen. Also, I have noticed ask for your check early along with a Togo box bc the waiters do wonder off here and there depending on who is serving you. My suggestion is 15 minutes depending on how fast you eat ask for these things the first chance you see your waitor or you may be waiting around when your done eating which is aggravating. Also ask for military discount when ordering your food bc they have to have a manager put it in and may prolong you later as well. But over all the operation and food is great the servers could use a little work but mainly this is due to miscommunication and them being busy from up to having 4 tables. If they are stacked to 5 tables you may not enjoy your...

Hubby was in the mood for a birthday steak so went for the first time last night. At first glance the decor is nice and the place is fairly well kept up. However after standing there a few minutes, we noticed a strange smell-my son likened it to gym socks. It was fairly strong-maybe they had a roof leak and water issue at one point? It was so strong and pervasive it really affected my enjoyment of the meal. Service: We were there a little before 5, and it took at least a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged by a server after we were seated. Drinks were slow to be refilled and it took a long while to bring the check. Server was just kind of blase. Being a little more outgoing and chatty would probably have netted a higher tip. She didn't suggest drinks or appetizers like other places usually do. Now, for the food. Hubby always gets rare ribeyes when we go out, so he ordered that, son got the chicken alfredo, I got the patty melt. Hubbys steak was thin so wasn't really rare, more like a medium well. Potato was good, as was the broccoli. Son liked his pasta and mac n cheese but I thought the mac and cheese by it's texture had sat out for a while and microwaved or something-was tough in places. My patty melt was ok, not really a true patty melt in terms of taste and the texas toast was kinda soggy. The fries were really good though-crispy on the outside and tender inside. All in all, wasn't really a great experience and the smell definitely means I probably wouldn't go back unless I knew it had been alleviated-hard to enjoy a meal with the gym sock/mildewy smell. Wish we had chosen somewhere else for...
