Checkers — Restaurant in Mobile

My husband and I decided to stop by checkers just to grab a little snack. We haven't been to checkers in many years since our adult children were little. Seeing that the temperature in the car was reading 106°F we thought it would be good to grab a cold drink. My husband grabbed a mango 🥭 iced slushie, and I grabbed a watermelon 🍉 frozen slushy. We also got a chicken bite fry box to snack on. Let me start off by saying that the young lady Tammanishia, which is displayed on the receipt, was extremely unprofessional and extremely rude. We were the only ones in the drive-through, and she the young lady had an attitude as though we were disturbing her when when drove to the box to look at the menu. We weren't ready to order. She huffed and puffed and was just over all rude when we asked about the different sauces. 😒 We pulled to the box, she never even looked us in our face she held her had out the window and stated the cost. After a few moments, she handed us our drinks and food. My iced slushy was melted at the bottom, but the food was hot. She handed out the window and left having an attitude the entire time. I wish I had recorded her with her face balled up and the attitude in her voice along with the eye rolling. She slammed the window, and we had to hunk the horn for another young lady who had to give us our receipt. I would recommend customer service training, but she clearly hates her job. We weren't rude to her or anything. We didn't even address the attitude with her to avoid confrontation. Im sorry to say that we will not be returning to this location. I hate to leave bad reviews on businesses, but people should know the bad as well as the good. Unfortunately, I leave reviews everywhere I go if possible, especially if the service is exceptional...

Okay, first I want to say that my food was good and had not issues with that. My only issue is that no one there new how to run the place. It was not that packed and the workers were so focused on creating an unnecessary chaos. There was no friendly customer service. It was a rude "What can I get you"? We stood there not sure if she was talking to us or someone else. The place was filthy. I was told ten minutes which I was fine on, but it was more like 25 minutes before getting food. Again food was fine, but the management and lack of proper customer service made it a little uncomfortable. One man ordered chocolate shakes and when they ran out of chocolate the just put vanilla. Never asked the customer if that was okay or not just made it and did not give them a chance to say No. I know working at a fast food service is daunting. I have done it before but a smile and polite conversation makes a difference in every ones lives. It was confusing on where to pick up food. One window is meant to order and the other for pick up. But they were handing out food through the order window while others were ordering. Making it difficult to actually order.

Not the worst place, but not a place that...

I wouldn't give them one star if I could. Very very rude and when I she gave me the bag my fully loaded fries fell out and into my lap and all over me and my car. I will make it my life goal to have this place shut down and have that drive thru cashier fired and never hired in another local place. She was extremely rude and tried to tell my mother she didn't order a second drink when clearly she did but instead of fixing the issue she wanted to argue and get defensive so my mother just dropped it. She was extremely rude and snappy and should have never been placed in the front window with that attitude. And then to have my car seat ruined and shirt and pants ruined with cheese and ranch just topped it off. I didn't not plan to go grab a simple meal to have my entire day ruined over a ignorant individual. If you want to have a bad day I suggest this is your place. If you want to enjoy a nice meal, go another place. I wi) never eat here again and will share my experience with anyone that...
