My mom, nephew, and myself visited Texas Roadhouse on 4/7/25 between 1:45 and 3pm to use our Veterans Day meal certificates and celebrate my nephew getting all A’s again.
Our meal totaled $15.92 or $15.29 since the voucher covered two meals. The waitress never brought my mom’s change or receipt back. I didn’t find out until we returned home though. When my mom walked towards the front (hostess area), I thought she either saw the waitress and went to get the receipt or ask for it at the hostess desk. I was attending to my nephew and gathering my things and wasn’t aware.
Our experience was terrible. The waitress acted as if she didn’t want to be at work and was unfriendly and rude. Whenever we asked a question she left the table too quickly and we didn’t get to finish asking the entire question.
She didn’t clear our table like she should so we were stacking dishes. The one time she removed dirty dishes she never returned to finish. Instead, we saw her carrying dishes from another table and talking to someone who was seated for nearly fifteen minutes. This was shortly before my mom paid and walked out.
The waitress messed up my mom’s meal and her and the manager admitted it but got an attitude and especially after I asked him to remake the dish. He insinuated our conversation is what caused the meal to be cold but it was cold before that since we waited while the dish was passed around and finally given to the manager. Then, he brought the exact same piece of chicken covered with gravy and we could clearly see that it was the same piece of chicken which is exactly what I asked him not to do. Pouring hot gravy over cold chicken isn’t right. My mother didn’t enjoy her food but didn’t complain again because we knew they weren’t going to do the right thing.
Walking to the from door on the way out was scary because someone either entering or leaving the kitchen dropped a plate of food that almost splattered where my nephew and I were walking. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I’m a steak lover and didn’t enjoy it one bit.
We have no plans on returning anytime soon if ever after this. If you don’t want to do your job then quit. When the manager is as bad as or worse than the waitress it makes you not want to eat there ever again.
Experiences like these are the reason why I don’t like eating out. I understand being short staffed however, servers shouldn’t be short tempered, rude, and inattentive. Restaurants need to do better if they expect people to continue...
Read moreThe night of march 6th Me and my wife decided to join the online waitlist for Texas roadhouse, thinking it would save us some time once we got there. We arrived around 7:25 PM, a solid seven minutes before our table was supposed to be ready and checked in just to be sure. The hostess told us to wait for another 10 minutes for a text. Twenty minutes later, still no text so we decided go back inside the check. The hostess rudely claimed that they text us 11 minutes ago, but we never received a text.. she rolled her eyes and told another girl to seat us. Now, this girl seemed a bit new because she didn’t really know where to seat us. When she finally sat us down, we waited 15 minutes without anyone checking up on us. No drink orders, no menus, nada. Turns out, we were sat at a “closed” table with no assigned server to it. After flagging down a couple servers, we pieced it together and realized the mistake. Meanwhile, in the background, there’s a whole drama playing out at another table. Some dude was going off at a server, cursing her out about his bread basket, saying they asked for it 5 times. The manager gets involved, but instead of sorting it out, he racially profiled a black gentleman at another table and accusing the wrong person. The situation escalates and there were threats being made by the customer. And where were the staff during all this? Just chilling, watching the show, instead of you know, doing their jobs. Mind you, all the servers were crowding around our section BUT we still haven’t been helped yet. Thankfully, I found someone who actually helped us, Jess. She’s the only one who seemed to care about customer service, even though we ended up in her section by accident. Needless to say, Texas Roadhouse HQ needs to seriously re-train their staff or start fresh with some new hires, because this whole night was ridiculous. It’s like they missed the memo on...
Read moreWORST Texas Roadhouse experience I’ve ever had! I’m on vacation out of state and I frequently go to my local location and have been to many other locations as well. The service was TERRIBLE, our waitress had just come into shift and was already irritated and seemed to hate her job (which is funny considering their shirts say “I love my job”). She never came around to check for drink refills, she didn’t bring the food to our table or check to see that it was correctly made which it wasn’t, my medium well steak was charbroiled black and tough, couldn’t even chew it. Couldn’t tell my waitress this as she never came around so I flagged down a manager and she took the over done steak and said she would get me a new one… 25 mins later still no replacement steak and finally the server comes back to the table and I tell her what has transpired and she goes to check what is happening. Another 10min later a different manager brings me out my steak and offers a box as my significant other has been fully done eating for quite some time and I said sure that would be great I’ll take a box. Well he gave me the box and walked away before I cut into the steak, guess what?!? It again was wayyyyy overdone. Burnt. Tough. Not edible. At this point I just wanted to leave and had to wait and wait for our server to be seen again and my significant other asked what they could do at this point and they begrudgingly took a little money off my bill, we paid and left. In my opinion this is just unacceptable and it left me feeling quite angry, hence this review. Not one person apologized or was even polite! All of this and I’ll add, this was at 4:30pm on a Friday and dinner rush hasn’t hit yet, there was no wait to be seated. Avoid this location if you actually want to get what you pay for and have...
