I was so excited to see that Mobile had a new cake shop. I was greeted nicely and professionally. The greeter explained all the different options to purchase. Great Customer Service! The layout of the store due to COVID was great! There was a 20 min waiting period to get my order so, I told them Iāll come back to pick it up. I wasnāt alarmed bc I just figured its the process for freshness. Once I returned, it was ready. I had to asked to see it and since the box was sealed, the cashier slightly opened the taped lid. Once I got back in my car, I opened the box to mainly get one out to eat but surprisingly was unhappy with the dispersement selection of the sample box. I was told that Iāll get a sample of all the different cakes, a total of twelve for $21. I thought great! That will allow me the opportunity to pick my favorite flavor for later purchases. My box had one sample of red velvet, one chocolate, four lemon, three of something with pecans, and three birthday cake flavors. My first impression wasnāt good at all. Other than the packaging, these mini cupcakes were semi frozen, very cold. The consistency was of cake pops, (wet dough). The first one I tried was a lemon only bc I waited to share the red velvet with my husband since they only gave me one and its his favorite cake. Plus, the sales lady said the lemon was really goodš. Bottomline! My husband and I shared the chocolate and red velvet, after that, I was done! I personally did not like either! and honestly didnāt attempt to try the other flavors, I was not happy for better words, Disappointed with the overall recipe for the ones I tried. Iām a first time mom and dread getting out and having to lug the heavy car seat and stroller around. Of course the associates donāt know this and even know they DIDNāT know it, they opened the main doors for me so I didnāt have to struggle and my cashier specifically helped me with a decent size order and she helped me label each Bundt cake as I had placed an order for 9 individuals. She didnāt have to do that and went the extra mile. This helped me manage the rest of my day and I appreciate her so much as well as the gentlemen that held the door open for me and my little one. My grand baby couldn't get her birthday cake because she didn't have the app or an email. What 6 yr old has an email address? Then the worker said the baby would have to have the app on her phone. Again, she is only 6! She wouldn't accept the email that I received to give both of us a cake. We each had to have our own. I was disappointed that they were not willing to accommodate a 6 yr old. Either way, I did get her the cake and she enjoyed it. There are no complaints about the quality of the cake, it was fresh, tasted great as usual but they should have given the baby the birthday present. You guys need to change...
