Okay For me I'm born and raised in the south. This restaurant is in my local area. And they're overall experience was great. But they offered me a complete awesome seafood, shellfish dinner with snow crab, shrimp, corn potatoes, a 30 something dollar plate with a plastic fork. Now mind you I had the bib, lemon juice, plastic gloves, pale bucket with a plastic bag, crown and Sprite, just finished my appetizer of fried pickles and Gator bites. And everything was fantastic. But when I asked for a metal fork or butter knife, he could only offer me some pecan/crab crackers. Now for those of us down here in the south we know that they actually make forts specifically for this type of situation. To where I might can crack the long legs Dead in the middle and try to get the meat out in one hole, if your crab was cooked to perfection. But no it's slightly wasn't that and you need a fork or a knife to split those bad boys and get your meat out in a whole chunk. Now that's my only bitching. But for me being from where I'm from. I watched my wife crack one shell. And I asked the waiter for mine to go. And then I brought it home and it was still great then! Mind you though I did eat it with a metal fork tho.
And this is just my personal opinion.
Okay it's been a month later and I decided to go back and try it again. So this is an update. Last night me and the wife went back prepared knowing that this should be some good food but they're going to service with a plastic fork. So we will simply order it to go and go back home to enjoy it. And man that we did, I ordered the king crab plus a cluster of the snow crab. And I was not disappointed. That was the first time I've actually had the true king crab where the legs are almost 2 ft long. And the shells or soft enough that they just folded over when I tried to break them. They didn't even crack. I had to use my fork just to cut them down the middle and the meats just fell out. Good and sweet. This will definitely become a regular treat....

As a well known and experienced local guide through Google maps, I took time to personally explore other views and experiences of other guests from the past. What I found was horrifying.
It all starts with my own experience. After a long day at the beach, we were in dire need of nutrients to refuel our bodily systems. Intense research brought us to The Juicy Crab, where we were seated immediately, not without issue, however. The staff was underexperienced and there were very few. Perhaps this was merely because we were eating at an irregular time? 1:47 to be exact. Nevertheless the lack of service was evident throughout the restaurant. All guests were seated in the central area because only one server was attending to everyone. We informed the waitress this was our first time, and she provided a very quick and brief summary of the menu (it was hard to follow) 😮💨😮💨.
Without spoiling it, the experience itself was unique and enjoyable with the rest of the group. I'm not sure this would have been the case alone? The food was fine in portion, however the quality seemed hard to define. The sauce and grease were a bit much, and it seemed incredibly seasoned. Also, the spice levels were higher then expected.
Bathrooms seemed clean enough, and so did the rest of the restaurant, creating a fine ambiance and holding a decent temperature.
I left feeling kind like this -- 🫠🫢😐🌵🦀
Back to the other people's reviews: They confirmed my suspicions. The restaurant was overpriced and had poor quality for the price being charged. The crawfish...lets just say you might find better ones at Walmart. This brings my review full circle to the end.
In summary, its a 50/50 risk for a good or bad experience. And you might have a good/bad experience. Personally, I wouldn't go back, but it was an interesting and unique experience for the group. Try the Juicy Crab...if you...
Read moreChanging my review after the experience, i definitely spoke too soon. When we arrived, we let the hostess know it would be a party of 10 to 15 people. We were the first to get there waiting on the rest of the party, we had to ask for a server three times when she ( Janae) finally came to the table, she wasn’t very friendly, looked annoyed that she had to do her job, she finally got our drinks after sitting there for 30 minutes. Finally, when the whole party arrived, Nobody had a single menu and when I finally asked for a menu, She only gave me five menus to share between 15 people. mind you, gratuity was added to our check. Our drinks were empty for an hour while we waited for our food, our appetizers came out with the food, our server spilled sweet tea On one of the guests and said “oh “and walked away, never apologized. The food was great can’t complain about the food, however, none of the appetizers came with sauce we had to ask for marinara for our cheese sticks. We had to ask for ranch, which also took another 10 minutes to get. Our checks took 20 minutes to get to the table. Altogether, our server had a really bad attitude. She wasn’t very sufficient at all. We got a free appetizer for leaving a good review, but I would feel bad leaving such a nice review and that was not our experience at...
