I first got there, I was looking for assistance. It was three people standing in the area scanning and no one asked me did I need assistance or even spoke. I needed A price and so I asked to associate who was sitting there talking with each other about personal situations and they told me to download the app to check a price. That made me even more matter when they both had scanners in their hand, so I put some of the Outfit back and only got one when I had 10 in my hand. Cannot find anyone to check me out, so I went to the shoe department to get checked out, and the lady told me that she would take me this time, but they normally take people with clothing on the other side of the wall. I told her that my reason for coming to you is because I see no associates over there that would assist me. She said where I’m about to have a nicotine fit so she called the office. I’m assuming and said that someone was running late and that she needed a break because she needs to get a nicotine fixed I was flabbergasted. I am from Mobile, but I currently live in Birmingham. I normally stop in Montgomery at Dillards, but since I was coming home, I came to the Dillards in Mobile never again. I am in management and I would advise people to stop having personal conversations while customers are around it makes the customers not want to ask questions and you lose money that way. It got 2 rating because they have a variety of toddlers clothing. The ladies over in the purse section were perfect. They were outgoing they interact with me. They told me what was going on in Dept what was on sale which just came out those lady...
Read moreAbsolutely no customer service in handbags. The cashier (older lady with straight long blondish Grey hair) acted like she resented having customers. I asked her if she could run my coupon and she bluntly stated Coupon doesn’t apply to MK. I passed by and asked a very nice young lady who did not work handbags a question about the purse. She went to cashier and there again another rude confrontation by her. It’s so sad to be so intimidated by a cashier. I can see why so many are turning to online shopping. The sad thing is I was just in the Thursday before shopping in Jewelry Dept and couldn’t have been treated any nicer. Small black lady helped me match a necklace and earrings. I could tell she was tired but It didn’t affect her excellent service. She was even waiting on other customers in between helping me. Cashier in handbags didn’t have any customers maybe because she ran them all off (?). The last MK handbag I purchased the sales lady from cosmetics was so helpful and nice. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t get excellent service. You may want to remind this cashier that “customers equal paychecks”. I walked out of Belks frustrated and vowed I’d...
Read moreVery poor in store customer service. I recently purchased a pair RL chino pants for my son. He wears a 8 so I bought a 10 thinking that one size up will allow room for growth. However the 10 fit too well. I decided to exchange the size 10 for 12. Belk didn't have a size 12. Disappointed. But I saw a very cute RL Oxford and it was 50% off. I exchanged the pants for the shirt. However I paid the difference and received my purchase and exited the store. I didn't notice that the security tag was still attached until I tried the shirt on my son. Didn't notice the poorly trained and lack of attention cashier/associate did not give me the corrected receipt indicating an exchange of items took place. So I returned for removal of security tag and my receipt for my original purchase is what that big tall high yellow contact wearing associate put back in my bag. I do not plan to purchase anything at this poorly managed upgrade Dirt Cheap Belk...
