Sno DASH Frozen Treats - Mobile, AL — Restaurant in Mobile

I was excited to find a new place to get shaved ice in town since the others had closed. This place has shaved ice but it is coarser than the fluffy Hawaiian Shaved ice I have had in the past. I believe these are advertised as snowcones but luckily it is not chunky like a snowcone and more like a shaved ice or NOLA snowball. I had seen a creation of theirs on their Facebook and showed them the picture asking for one just like it. They replied that it was a custom item but they could do something similiar. The girl was pleasant who rang me up. The price was very reasonable for what I got. It wasn't exactly the same but close enough. It was what they call a stuffed snowcone (I think, there wasn't much in the way of anyone explaining much) and had strawberries and cheesecake on top. It was definitely a good value for the money since other places charge $10 or more for similar menu items. The only things I was put off by was 1) that the young man who prepared it had left off the condensed milk and when I asked him for it, he didn't reply at all. He finally walked away and added the cream. 2) He placed my (unwrapped) spoon down on the counter where money and other items had been which was unsanitary. 3) the ice had that stale freezer flavor like it was stored with other open food which made the ice taste strange. This place definitely has potential to be a great frozen treat shop with the right customer service training and some more attention how they handle items which need to stay clean for food consumption. My husband and I come here all the time since “Roll Me Up” ice cream parlor closed. Today, my husband and I decided to stop by. Since the start, the employee had a bad attitude. She looks like she is in her late 30s to early 40s with a nose piercing in her right nostril. I decided to get cotton candy ice cream and strawberries as the topping, instead of the fluffy cotton candy. The employee insisted that we would have to pay extra for add ons and made us feel like changing a topping was a hassle. Then, my husband created his own ice cream and she rudely corrected him when he said he wanted the vanilla ice cream instead of “vanilla base.” We left unsatisfied with the customer service and with our purchase. Since when did a topping that is listed as a topping on the menu become an added on expense? This is our last time patronizing...

I come here all the time and order the same snow cone each time! When I came in last week and got a snow cone it tasted like cleaning solution! I immediately called and someone by the name of Craig said I could bring it back for a new one! I don’t live close so I told him I would come back by the end of the week! I came today Sunday 11/7/2021 and a rude lady stated she didn’t see a note, I stated that Craig told me I could come back, she then said she spoke with the manager and she stated I could get the snow cone but pay extra for the topping I always get, I got my snow cone came out to my car to taste it and it was the same as last time!
